New to this site so just popped in to say hellooooo..
Been playing bass since i was 17, 38 now so you do the maths. Had a break of about 6-7yrs, did the usual, got married, had a kid, lived abroad etc etc.
Played in a band when i was about 21 playing with mates and played a lot of the popular gig places round Manchester, (sorry, forgot to say, i live in Oldham, Manchester). Lasted for about 6yrs an fizzled out. Got rid of all my gear, regretably, before moving abroad. Had a Washburn "b series" in sapphire blue, Peavy 500watt bass head and 2 celestion speaker cabs. Also used a yamaha effects unit for enhancement. Damn, i wish i hadn't of got rid of all that.
Anyway, cut a long story short, bought a westfield in light wood stain and a keyboard amp, i know, shamefull, but all i could afford at the time.
Over the last 6mths have started gettin back into the swing of things and would love to get playin again live as i got such a buzz from it last time. Really into rock and metal music form the last 30-40yrs.
