this is the coolest thing i have ever seen in my life!

the only time i've ever leaned my bass on my amp was with my schecter, and it's strap button is off centre so doesn't bother the balance. can see your point though
It makes the bass balance so much better and makes the neck hang a bit more horizontal - very comfortable! My Series II has the same set up. I always use the low strap button.
i thought (just by looking at it) that it would make the bass a bit too top heavy, making it want to fall forward

apologies for the slight thread derailment

You're not pretending to be anything you're not so you shouldn't feel awkward. Maybe that extra bucket full of adrenaline will get you through!

    Good luck.
this

all the best, i'm sure you'll be fine!

  4. hey folks

just bought these new as they state "long scale" but not long enough! bought them to fit on my Schecter Hellraiser V but they only reach to the first fret

was wondering if anyone had a set that would fit my bass in exchange for these? as i very much can't be arsed having to go through the returns policy

    thank you

    Gary

edit - they're the nickel wound anes :)

  5. got a bass because i wanted to play stuff by The Smiths, although when i got it all i wanted to play was all the Offspring albums

got a cheapo guitar at the same time to help with notes and chords etc, went to a guitar class but also got private bass lessons from the same guy. he's never taught bass before so after a few months he stopped charging me as the lessons were turning more into a jam, very bluesy!

after that i've just been learning what i can, where i can. in and out of different bands with different styles. don't really have money to spare right now but if i did i'd probably get a proper bass teacher once or twice a week
