1.
£48 is the $77 quoted on the listing at the current eBay exchange rate. That reminds me - I need to change my import tax calc to 20% VAT. That means we're going to be paying a 30% premium on the shipped price (including a £15 handling charge). Thank you Mr Osborne
Tbh,i love these basses, was my first bass i could actually use, immaculatley owned y Jon here,id be happy at the end if it costs me about £300 even, there quite scarce on these shores and flogging it wouldnt be hard, ive seen 3 on ebay in 9mths,apart from mine bought here dont think many have changed hands on BC but sen a few posts looking for one.
 2.
Won't work. Dougie's blue SR800LE already lived for about 10 years with a gorgeous red SR800FL fretless - I had high hopes of an interesting hybrid, but nothing. Jon.
Never realised this Jon,red sounds rather fetching too... ......These 800s finishes are the nicest colours ive seen on guitars,f***it im gonna sell the bike,it keeps snowing anyway, and buy sr800s in all colours available.only thing i hate about the blues shinyness is i get upset if any of the kids even look at it with the usual touchy look about them, wife thought id developed a fetish when she woke at 3am and witnessed my sitting in my y fronts polishing it wearing a pair of wooly gloves and because i had "flossed under the machine heads......il point out i had been drinking.
 3.
hi all,im new to playing bass, and would like to know what the difference is between a fender p bass, and a fender squire p bass. dave
and a huge wedge of cash...im a newbie too and at my level would opt for a cheaper Squier,i think sometimes people want the original purely because its a real P bass so must sound better,my ears havnt honed to spot the difference as yet.

 6.
Seriously paypal can take money directly from your bank account in the event someone wants a refund? I use a bank account that only has around 100 pound in at any one time, unless I'm buying something specific, and I don't have an agreed overdrat. So if they took a refund of say 1500 pound for a bass, when the money was not in the account I'd have to pay huge bank charges aswell I imagine. It's lucky I don't sell anything on ebay but I'm still shocked...
yup they can and will.as a new seller im in the catagory they can hold my dosh for 21 days etc....despite sending over 900 quid in over 30 deals and a score of 45 and 100% over just 2 months...i think this guy is tryin to shaft you btw....

 10.
If it has a clear finish, you can do a fair bit with steaming out the dented part (if you have bare wood, wet tissue/cloth on it and put a soldering iron on briefly, so the steam pops the dented wood fibres out), that also cleans out the grub, then fill the hole with layers of superglue then polish down.
im gonna deliberatley dent my project"frank the fecker"to try this.....
 11.
£48 from the States is pretty good. It's the import charges you have to watch out for.
quotes"Seller charges sales tax for items shipped to: (6.5%). "i usually avoid buying anything overseas too
 12. he says 48 quid to UK.puzzled me too
 13.
Yes. Tiny dings etc. can be sanded out then cleverly refinished. Chips or gouges need more work. Filler will hardly ever look good.
Totally agree....or a big CND sticker if you cant be arsed sanding.
 14.
Hm, are you hoping they'll mate? BTW, what's the shipping cost? I was looking at something yesterday with a quote of $150 - ough!
guy reckons £48 quid, kinda shocked me too
