1. I've been feeling all nostalgic over my old SB900 lately, so I followed your link to Chuya-online thinking i'd be safe' cos the SB1000s are all single pickup.......WRONG.... 2. A mark 1 WAL (same as the one in the for sale section) which I HATED, cost me £400, if i'd only left it under the bed for a couple of decades instead of trading it in for a Warwick I'd be minted. An Aria SB900 which I loved and is still available, but i'm not paying the current asking prices for them
3. Got 2, love 'em both. Not too heavy, the necks are a thing of beauty as far as i'm concerned and they're pretty big. You can't fit a d-tuner because of the head shape.
4. Nice & Sleazy - The Stranglers Red Barchetta - Rush House of Fun - Madness She Caught The Katy - The Blues Brothers version
5. Another shady deal, in a Morrisons car park this time. Top bloke and a splendid Warwick Jazzman headed back up to the frozen North. Cheers
6. Been using custom plugs with ER15 filters for years. I used to work for a Danish Hearing Instrument manufacturer and no matter how many thousands you pay for hearing aids they'll NEVER replace what you've aready got stuck to either side of your head.

8. I'm just wondering how long it'll take her to notice i've pawned one of the kids to CrackConverters to pay for it....
9.
DrDrill - Your '89 Streamer LTD is absolutely incredible! What an amazing combo of wood and pickup...very nice! Thanks for sharing!! Whats on the horizon??
Shhhh, be vewy vewy quiet! She Who Must Be Obeyed doesn't know yet.....
10. Learnin' some Ian Dury & The Block'eds for my mates 50th bash.....we'll have to play them early on before too many shandys are consumed.
11. OOOOOH Mine is No 035. There was a guy on Talkbass from Finland (Mika) who had one as well. I also noticed the Ltd Ed has appeared on the Warwick website, but, it says the fingerboard is wenge, my certificate says it's ebony so it looks like even Warwick can't remember what they've made.....too many mushrooms in the '80s methinks
12. Bought it in Sound Control in Glasgow. It was either this or a Spector that was for sale in The Guitar Store and the Warwick won on the day. The Bartolini was a bit too 'civilised' for my tastes
13. Mine were Canadian Ash if I remember correctly and the necks were indeed the same, Jazzish rather than Pbass, I liked the 900 better it had a far wider tonal capability, if it had been fretted it would have been ideal. I also had a blue CSB380 and a red LEB something or other.
14. Here's my '89 Streamer Ltd Edition. Bought it brand new. Stock preamp & Bartolini pup replaced with a John East preamp & a basslines pup. I also have an old warhorse '90 Thumb NT which is my 'go to' bass, the finish is lovingly kept in tip top condition with spilled Guiness and sweat and all being well on Sunday I should have another Warwick added to the collection
15. Hell yeah!!. I also have an air monitor to put my foot on...
16.
You know you are getting old when people are talking about their parents Iron Maiden records . I remember when Maiden records were what you played to annoy your parents .
We've got an apprentice at work who went with us to his first Motorhead gig in November, i've got Motorhead ticket stubs older than him (Dec 1980 being my first M'head gig)...he was heard afterwards saying 'FFS all you old dudes are mad as hatters!!' Why thank you sonny As for influences Phil Lynott, JJ Burnel, Lemmy, The Ox, Geddy Lee and Floyd Pepper from The Electric Mayhem
17. Very nice. I had several Arias back in the '80s. My favs were an SB1000 (oak) which weighed the same as a small family car and a fabulous SB900 (walnut) fretless which I loved and the Philistines in the band hated...
18. Sunny Hamilton, so i'm stuck down in Darkest Lanarkshire between you Weegies and The Edinbuggers
19. Excellent, thanks. The neck I have is 2.5"/ 63.5mm, time for some DIY.....bring forth the implements Igor!

21. Any of you Vintage V4 owners care to measure your neck pocket size for me. I've got a nice maple Jazz bass neck looking for a cheap pbass home and the hardware on the Vintage seems a wee bit better than on the Squiers. So if the neck pocket fits a nice black Vintage will become the donor and i'll have to dig out my old Stranglers Tshirt Thanks
