Now all sold!!! After finally testing my new amp etc out I can now move these bits on. [s]The cab (Mag 115) is the old school carpet covered one, it's in good condition apart from some debri its picked up from the rehersal studio (I'll get rid of as much as I can!). It's really heavy so pick up only from Dartford- £100[/s] The head (Mag300R) is the rackmount version, this is also the original one without the compresor part. Everything works perfectly fine (VU meter, all knobs entact) it also comes with a stagg 2U hard case, this has cracks in the corners of the 'lids' but its still solid as a rock!! Again would prefer pick up, at the moment this is still at the rehersal room so I can have it back at mine by next week-£110 I could post the head it would be safe as houses in the case, I have no idea however of exact costs, I'm guessing £25 would cover it though. [s] If you want to come and take both the items in one go I'd take £200[/s] After a sansamp VT bass if you want to trade for any of the above.

EHX Graphic Fuzz - Boxed with instructions and adapter, It can be daisy chained and takes a standard boss style adapter, sounds like overdrive not fuzz as the name suggests!! sounds better than the odb3 - £65 inc postage (this does sound great on bass) I'm after another sansamp vt bass pedal so would accept this as a trade. If you want to see my entire board look here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;#entry1164767 it's post number 2368

Forgot about this thread... for earlier questions I'm on the same wavelength as thisnameistaken, except I really didn't like the plugins, in fact most of them were pretty bad from what i remember, when I moved to logic recording and mixing experience was much much better. I'm not saying there isn't better software than logic, each to there own, in fact i'd love to try pro tools just can't justify the cash.

Yeah its a triple loop with a small adjustment, it has bypass, a/b selector connecting the fuzz to the blogger/chorus switching and c connected to the flanger. It's made by bright onion pedals, the guys cool he has a website and his stuff is really reasonable, he didn't charge me extra for the changes either which is a bonus!

Thanks!! Glad you like it!

Lol, people like what they like, I've tried PC and Macs, and much prefer them, They are pricey but you can get good ones on the bay for a lot less, they just seem to run a lot less glitchy, I only used PC for years soon as i tried Mac I was hooked, the fact it had logic was a bonus really. I just prefer logic because the plugins are excellent and I find the interface user friendly. If PC is all you know and see no reason to change then go for it! That reaper program seems to get good reviews but not tried it myself. We can agree however Cubase is pretty awful.

I've only had a quick skim of the posts so sorry if any of this has been covered!!! I personally would swap from PC to Mac for starters, i've never had any issues with various mac devices, just so you have an idea indoors I use a cheap alesis express 2 in/out with a macbook G4 only 512mb of ram with snow leopard into logic express 9, never had any problems recording, when I go down to record my band collectively we have two presonus fire pods 8in 8 out, we chain them together 16 in/out with absolutely no problems running onto my laptop. I think at one point we had about 12 tracks running at one time. I guess all I'm trying to say is you don't need the best gear, i use the avaliable plug ins on logic and have made some good demos. If you wanted to go a step further you could always outsource the mastering process. If i were you I would maybe look out for a 2nd hand fire pod or 2 if you want to record everything at once. This is also something I'm looking into doing to save time but havent tried. I'd also recommend a mac book or such like, maybe with a couple of gigs of ram just so you know you have plenty of power, get an external hard drive and save all your stuff straight to there, this keeps the laptop running at optimum. I'd go for logic express or studio its up to you but express does everything I need and is cheaper. After that all you need is mics, stands, cables and some decent headphones/monitor speakers. I'm pretty sure you could get all this gear for under £1500 brand new, if you go 2nd hand like I did then defnitely under a grand.

Bought this last year and have never really used it, I have a seymour duncan paranormal as well so this really is surplus. It still has about 6 months warranty left on it. Got the funky green and yellow splatter effect so really looks the part. It's as new never left the house. £25 inc postage

Well i'd say either push it on or screw it back on, unless you mean the pot, then i guess you'll need the soldering iron!!

EHX micro pog, I got this from here a few months ago and have realised it just sits and looks pretty on my board and I don't really need all the functions it provides. It's in great condition, I'll try and get some pics of it tonight. Comes boxed, I think this one came with the adaptor so I'll chuck that in as well. In terms of trade I could maybe have a use for an octave down, a boss OC2 or such like with some cash my way. Hit me with it I can only say no!! SOLD

I think the blowtorch gets pretty close to that sound. I think I read somewhere he also used a digitech synth wah coupled with a russian big muff (which he definitely uses) and he uses an animato , not sure if its classed as fuzz/overdrive or distortion though!

I currently use an EHX graphic fuzz for overdrive and EHX bass blogger for a more gritty sound. Both work well for what I need.
