1. Oh yeah this one used to be mine!! SK8's wicked to deal with!!
2. NOW SOLD TO FRYER
3. Yeah I know a guy at a guitar shop, he only ever seems to keep the guitar shaped boxes rather than the big rectangular ones. I may have a fiddle with the bass tonight and maybe able to give you something precise. I might even try to intonate it and see what happens.
4. 1) I'd rather not sell with the hard case because it's gonna be a pain to find a box, but if I really had to it would be about another £25 all in. 2) I use a korg pitch black and from what I remember it was about two lights red either way, but bare in mind I haven't fiddled with the intonation of the bass at all so I reckon it could go better than that. I'd have to double check that at some point.
5. Still here but now on the bay bump
6. HAHAHAHAHA
7. Nah not dying for anything to be fair, hit me what you've got in a PM and I'll see how i feel lol
8. These came off a 6 string bass three to a side, they aren't particularly amazing but do the job and are as new. They are exactly the same as number 13 in this ebay listing as that is what I replaced these with (obviously the ones I'm giving away are a no name brand and not wilkinson!!). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wilkinson-chrome-bas...=item20ac1a527a they come with the ferrules and the screws. PM if you want them i'll post for free!!
9. need this gone!!!
10. If you've ever heard a 12 string guitar it's the same principle. If you like pearl jam jeff ament uses a 12 string bass on why go and Jeremy, sound very similar to an 8 string. Failing that you could probably find videos on you tube.
11. The only ones I've seen are the rotosound long scale 8 strings. The intonation is pretty good, I haven't really fiddled to much with the set up, wouldn't be to difficult to adjust if needed, I don't think you can get the intonation absolutely spot on because the two strings are on the same saddle.
12. Few shabby pics up now, I already have a taker but I'm going to hold out for a little bit to see if anyone wants to collect.
13. I'll wait for you to PM, I'm gonna leave this up for a while purely to see if there is anyone local first, if not i'll post it and you'll be at the top of the pile if you still want it by next friday or something. Fairest way I can think of doing it EDIT: Forgot to mention that the bass is sunburst!!
14. It's gotta be gone wasn't it his mates or something and he was gonna put it on ebay? Can only assume it sold there. Proper bummer if it did! EDIT Sorry thinking of a completely different sale my bad!!!
15. Got exactly the same bass as this same colour the lot, paid £350 for it which I thought was a bargain but your price is amazing!!!!
16. PM replied too, still avaliable at this stage!!
17. Selling my no name tele guitar bought off ebay for £50, it's pretty much as new!! It's a natural trans honey blonde colour. Its all completely intact, I changed the nut and have unfortunately cut it a bit too low so could do with a new one, truss rod works, electronics are sound, pick ups aren't that great really but wasn't expecting much for £50!! The frets are a bit sharp at the bottom so could do with a quick file down. This would be wicked for an upgrade project. SOLD PENDING you can't go too wrong really, has a pretty shabby gig bag too!! Gonna get pics up tonight!
18. Right, this was my first bass ended up stripping it down a while ago cos I was thinking about doing something with it. Now decided that its taking up space therefore I'm gonna give it away!! At the moment it is completely broken down, i do have all the bits as well some are a bit rusty but all are useable, may need to get wire for the electronics but I would personally re do those. The tuners, bridge, pickup, pots, neck plate, nut I think somewhere are avaliable the scratch plate I binned because it was ruined. You could literally put this back together again, maybe minus a few screws that are more than likely lost. Cosmetically speaking the body is pretty good, few dents in the back but no real paint scuffs, the neck i started to sand down, therefore there is no logo on the headstock or lacquer, the back of the neck is still untouched, the frets still have a bit of life in them, maybe a quick stoning might do them some good and a good clean! oh yeah body colour is sunburst!! This would be pretty good for a project!! Collection would be much prefered but i could hopefully arrange some sort of box postage would be around £10.99 parcel force wise. Oh yeah I have a couple of crappy pics just cant get them on the work computer. Will post when I get home!!
19. BUMP for price drop!!!
20. I wouldn't say this one is overpowering the extra string does make it louder but not to ridiculous levels. It is handy to have the selector knob because it allows me too keep the settings I usually use on my amp and change the sound directly through the bass.
21. Right this has been on and off for a while, had ideas for it that never really worked out. Absolutely nothing wrong with it what so ever, spent most of its life in a hard case been rehearsed with a few times. No major dings or scratches, no light dings or noticeable scratches I can see. Has a nice action to it and sounds very nice, the 6 way selector is very handy for getting a great tone without having to change the settings on your amp. Unfortunately I keep picking up my various 4 strings and this is taking up space and its a waste for it to be sitting around. This will now be shipped without a hard case or gig bag but will be boxed securely!! SOLD If you have some bits you want to trade let me know what you have, I might be interested.
22. Pm'd re pog
23. I didn't seem to have that problem really, just eq in some of the bass and less of the highs worked fine for me.
