1. I'm thinking of going back to having one, and one only bass. Just one bass that I can really bond with for gigs, home recording etc. I currently have 3, the two G&Ls in the for sale section and a Fleabass (which my daughter has her name on so that's staying), but I fancy getting rid of the lot for just one special bass. There seems to be so many BCers who have dozens of the bloody things. I haven't broken a string in years, so I don't need a back up for gigs. Anyone else just have the one?

WOW!! That's stunning!!
3. Didn't really think so mate. You're welcome around here of course, but the bag is potentially part of the deal with the G&Ls, so I'm not sure I can let it go until I know where I'm up to with a couple of offerings I'm waiting to hear about later. I damn sure your Overwater will go in the Ritter bag, maybe I could bring the bag round to you on it's own at some stage (although not today) so you could try. Of course there's every chance I'll keep these basses anyway if the right deal doesn't come along.
4. Take the two G&Ls in the Ritter bag and you've got a deal.
5. Leave your Overwater in the bag and you've got a deal Steve .
6. Cheers dubster, I may well hang on to them both, it just depends on what happens, I've got a couple of offers to think about.
7.
GAS Alert! I thought you were G&L to the core?
Yeah, they're fantastic, there's no doubting that, I might well change my mind if nothing happens, and I'll be happy to keep them and save up for another one maybe.
8. After a lot of thought, and some in depth discussion, I've decided to offer up my two G&Ls. I don't like the fact that I have to change between the two of them during gigs for different songs. I just want one bass for the whole set, just one bass that I can bond with and get all the tones I want from that one guitar. Fabulous bass. I've wanted one for some time, and in my favourite colour too, but I'm always skint. I'm sure someone will grab this off you before long.
Not wanting to buy but just registering my appreciation for a beautiful bass - items like this really liven up the for sale section!
I agree 100%, I'd love this bass, but it's way out of my league.
11. I go to Wigan all the time with work mate, if you draw a blank elswhere let me know and I'll sort you out.
12. This thread is the future of selling basses. I wish everyone (me included) would make a video like that, first class job, and a first class bass.
13. I really wanted that red TRB6P that was available recently, yet another bass I've fancied for years but never had one. I really must get myself a nice 6er at some point.
14. That's utterly fabulous. The nicest looking Shuker I've seen in a while.
15. I just really don't like distorted lead bass solos. I've never forgiven Steve Lawson for dropping one into one of his tracks on Grace and Gratitude. It's a beautifully atmospheric track (forget the name) then his lobs in this horrendous fizzy bass solo like someone firing up a chainsaw in the middle of Barbers Adagio for Strings, and it's not played very well either. Awful. Lead bass can be good in the right place, but even when some of my favourite players like Adam Nitti or Stevie Williams do it, I'm not keen. I like the bass to groove within a song, while the guitarist or keyboard player takes the lead glory. Stu Hamm for instance, I love his playing within a band, but I hate that tapping thing he does.
16. The Jazz band; Poogie Bell - Drums Adam Nitti - Bass Bluey - Guitar Ronnie Jordan - Guitar The Haggis Horns - Brass Pat Kane - Vocals Sam Brown - Vocals Jamelia - Vocals Herbie Hancock - Keys The Rock band; Neil Peart - Drums Tony Levin - Bass John Petrucci - Guitar Jeff Beck - Guitar Rob Halford - Vocals Jordan Rudess - Keys Both lineups would be different again if I picked them tomorrow.
17. Dot at the 21st on the Trib L2500, but not on the US L2000. Not sure of the year of either, but both are 90's models, and the L2000 is older with the 3 bolt neck plate. Edit; both are of course 2000s models, I was rather drunk when I posted this last night .
18.
I believe that Tribes Vibes & Scribes is their best album closely followed by 100 degrees and Rising and then Positivity
Same order as me
19. In my years as a front man in the early 90s, I did a gig on the back of a truck in a quarry near Bremen in Germany. We were one of about 6 bands playing a mini festival, on a very cold, damp day. We were also the novelty foriegn band amongst a bunch of local bands, so we had a decent drowd watching us, but it was weird being surrounded by this old quarry, and it poured with rain most of the day. U2 at Red Rock Canyon it was not.
20. Gah, I'd have this off you if I could. Great price.
21. White all the way. Tort looks the dogs on the right colour, to me personally, that's not the right colour for a tort guard. I'd be looking for a cream pearl guard for that.
22.
Didn't even know they were touring - thanks for the heads-up. I absolutely LOVE Dub Side Of The Moon.
DITTO.
23. Lovely set up. You can keep yer ruddy boutique stuff, all you need at the end of the day is a P and a J, the classic combo. I'll bet they sound sweet through the acoustic too?
24. Another vote for a Steamer, and if I had a choice I'd go for a Stage 2, just because I think they're little bit brighter and cleaner than the Stage 1 tonewise, and it would have to be a 5 stringer for hip hop IMO. I love playing along to a bit of Jazzmatazz, Guru, Gangstar etc, and you'll definately need the B. Streamer Stage 2 or 1, either will hit the spot.
