1. Cheers for that mate, fretless eh? I bet that sounds out of this world. Lined or unlined?
2. A picture with the (easily removable) ramp, made from ebony @ Overwater by Martin................
3. Ahhh....you'd love the low B, and I'd love the '78 .
4.
Pfffft
.......I might even go old school with a nice old Precision.........
5.
Just stop now fool
Yeah maybe that was a silly idea.........but I do like Stingrays.......... Anyway, PM replied to.
6. Looking for a nice Stingray 5 stringer in a trade. I'm a bit picky about colours though, nothing too wierd , natural would be fab. Why???? Don't ask.
7. If you'll post it I'm interested?
8.
What the hell is wrong with you.
9. That's FAB, with a capital Faahhh, I love those, and I reckon your mods have made it even better. Good job, it looks smart.
10. For sale, is my beautiful Overwater. 5 stringer, mahogany body, Pear wood top, through 36" scale neck with purple heart stripes. An instrument of the highest quality and out of my league to be honest. Recently been back to the factory for an ebony ramp to be fitted (not seen in pics), which is only stuck down with double sided tape between the pickups, easily removable, and leaves no marks. SOLD.
11. Good basses. I have one as a backup for my Overwater for gigs. Definately worth the money. The only issues I had with mine were a noisey treble pot and a lousy nut. Once sorted out it's a cracking bass. Surprisingly powerful bottom end on mine.
12. OOOHHH MONSTER bass this. Outstanding tone and plays itself, bargain.
13. Here's a clip of Guild B301F in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=...p;v=HsxSvI8dqAg
14. All PMs replied to thanks. A trade for a NICE Epiphone Thunderbird might be an option.
15. It may well be, depending on what happens. I'll let you know.
16. Steve, it's here for you to try any time you like mate.
17. Unusual one this..... First off, it's not mine. It's been in my mates loft for many years untouched. 20 years since last picking up a bass, he's decided to have another go, but he wants a 4 string fretted bass to replace this one. From the serial number, we believe it to be from 1978, it's a US made Guild, model B301F. Sometime in it's life, someone (not my mate), had fitted some kind of humbucker style pickup at the bridge, and I have to say, it's a pretty crude job. The body has been routed for the pup to drop in, and the scratchplate cut around the pup, not the tidiest job I've ever seen. No idea what the mystery pup is, but it's been there a looong time. The bridge pup is not height adjustable, as it's just screwed down onto the body. It all works fine, the neck is a glued in one and looks straight, and I've lemon oiled the fingerboard, and it has Schaller tuners. Solid mahogany, and built to last, it's a bit of an old classic in need of some TLC from someone. Nice mwaah tone from it, lovely smooth fretboard. There's a few knocks around it, and some buckle rash on the back, but it's in surprisingly good nick for a bass from the late 70's. There's no case though, so I would prefer to meet someone somewhere (within reason) with it to avoid postage. I genuinely don't know what to ask for it?? It's not in original condition, but it's a quality bass. Anyone got any ideas??? Cash only though I think, I don't think he'll be interested in trades. Cheers, Russ.
18.
Hi, can you tell me what kind of pickups are in this beasty, and also is this a good "classic rock" sounding bass or more of a slappy type??? Thanks in advance!!!
Great bass this, I was tempted by it myself recently. As far as the styles this bass is capable of, well any really, I'd put it down as an all rounder. Jeff himself only has ONE bass, for all his work, and it's (admitedly the US made version) one of these. It should be capable of most styles I guess. Seahawks eh? I saw them Vs the Chargers in San Diego a few years back when I was over there. Brian Bosworth was a Seahawk wasn't he?......back in the days when I used to play.....a long time ago.
19.
If this doesn't sell by 9pm I'll eat my socks.
Feeling hungry yet?
20.
I've wanted a Wal since 1980 and this year was the first time I realised I had enough cash to get one! However, not sure it's really my sound.
Exactly how I was with my Gretsch, stunning, just not me. Sumptuous Wal mate, wish I could take it off your hands, good luck.
