1. Janek Gwizdala - Live @ the 55 bar Adam Nitti - Evidence Jaco Pastorius - Invitation Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue Wynton Marsalis - Citi Movement Don Byron - Ivey Divey All must have jazz CDs for me. The first three are obviously bass guitar orientated, the rest are just pure genius. There are countless others I could mention of course.

*SOLD*

Superb bass. I was within hours of owning one recently before the deal fell through. Good luck.
3. That sir, is a fine bass guitar.
4.
Thanks for the help - it'd be nice to see the bass move soon (and local?)
I'll text my mate and see if he had a look at this. Surprised it's still here to be honest. Did the 5er go?
5. I'm disappointed in the price, but the weak pound certainly might be the reason. If it's aimed at younger players, it's missed the boat at that price. I can't afford to buy my 7 year old daughter a 450 quid bass to start her off, much as she'd love one.
6. Yeah local, he's going to have a look later.
7. Top quality dancing, it has to be said.
8. Is it on the G string that you have a problem? Has it been left near a Stingray for any length of time? If so, it's caught something called Stingrayitis. E, A, D strings take your head off, but the G just lacks something. I've noticed it on many rays I've played. Joking aside, if it is the G string, try angling the pups up to the G a bit more, it helps. If it's high up the dusty end on all the strings that you have a problem, I don't know.
9. By the way, I might know someone who's interested, I'll keep you posted.
10. I'm totally head over heals with it yes, it's just superb. Pity I haven't got the cash to buy this baby to partner it though ! Good luck, not that you'll need it.
11. Defret it? Not on your life, no, it's a great bass as it is. Flog it, and buy a fretless.
12. Well, each to his own I guess, if that's your bag, me, I've heard funkier.
13. Exactly what I wanted before I got the Overwater. Stunning bass, this will fly out I'm sure.
14. Thanks for all the suggestions folks, I have some reshearch to do now.
15. No question at all for me.....ACG all the way. Top bloke, outstanding craftsmanship and still very sensible prices for the amount of work involved. A mate has an ACG single cut, and it's just out of this world.

17. Oh god.....if only I had 1200 quid, that'd now be mine. Just when I thought I was GAS free.
18. Have a look at Victor Wooten on youtube or maybe thebassvault.com where he'll show you all you need to know.
19. Best gig I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot over 30 years or so, was Wynton Marsalis @ the Ritz in Manchester. Sublime. Yes, I love jazz too.
20. Thanks for all that, very helpful. Goldring GX200s have been thrown into the mix too, but I like the look of the Sennheisers.
21. Well the Sennheiser CX400s look good, maybe I'll just jump on those, got to be better than the terrible Sony ones I have.
22. Ha ha....is this thread still going?? Jazz fans, Janek Gwizdala - Live at the 55 Bar hasn't been out of my car CD player for a week, superb album and highly recommended. The track "Mana" is just brilliant, I've never heard a Fodera sound better than that.
23. Ahh yes, cheers Ped. I'd looked at those (the C400s actually) and was keen on them so they're on the list. Something's making me want the E2Cs though. I could use them for playing bass through the Tascam on too.
24. I'm after some decent ones to replace the scrap that come with the ipod from Sony. I've got around 50 quid to spend, and some recommendations would be great. Ped and myself have already had this conversation a couple of times in the past, but I can never remember the details. Shure E2Cs were favourite until I was told they weren't great for ipods. In ear phones are favourite, with a nice bass response, obviously. Any input would be great.
