3.
Oooooh, that's niiiiiiice!!!! If only. Btw Russ, the Trace rig I bought off you last year is still going strong and sounding great Cheers Have a bump on me Cheers Gary
Brilliant mate, happy to hear it, it was a great amp that. I don't miss carrying it though
4. Squi...Sq....San....Sandberg.....it might work you know?
5. Ha ha, are you sure Pete?? There might be one there somewhere !
6. I've only had this bass a few days, but having gigged it and rehearsed with it, I've decided it's not quite for me, as much as I love the thing. Pics taken on my phone, sorry about that, my camera is playing up. Anyway, it's only a few months old, and is almost unmarked. It's fitted with TV Jones Thundertron pickups, which are fabulous sounding, and currently fitted with brand new D'Addario Pro Steel medium scale, which is what it requires, not the short scale strings you might think it needs. What can I say?? It's stunning, and rare, I've never seen one before. This bass was a very reasonable £1300 a few months ago, so I'm after £850, no offers, sorry. Tradewise? Sandberg PM4 or PM5, Marcus Miller 4 or 5, Warwick Streamer Stage 1 or 2. I'll listen to other ideas though. It comes in it's Gretsch TKL hard case, and I can deliver within reason, I'm in Manchester, sorry Cornwall or Scotland are a bit far!! Gutted this baby didn't work out for me, and I REALLY hope someone will give this superb instrument a good home.
7. Blimey, that's fab that is.
8. Sorry to hear that mate, hope it turns up.
9. OUTSTANDING !! Beautiful that is.
10. That's sic baby (he says in a young persons kind of way).
11. I've tried a few Sandys, and they'e all been brilliant. I must admit to being keen on one myself. I like the "stressed" ones too, not everyone's bag, but definately mine. I mean............that's just ruddy marvelous that is.
12. Yeaahh that's wicked.
13. Ship Inn, Beech Lane, Macclesfield, tonight, Saturday 24th Jan. Turn up, I'll buy you a pint. Russ.
14. Perfect my son, perfect. That's all you'll ever need, right there.
15.
The things people do in the name of "art". Twat.
Quite. I thought I was the only one who thought the same.
16. The Stuart Zender Warwick looks very nice, but I'm still surprised there actually is one. Warwick don't seem to be the easiest company to work with by all accounts, and Stuart hasn't even been using one for some time. Any road, it looks smart enough.

I've had a few of the old 70s/80s BBs, awesome basses. My 3000S was maybe the best all round bass I've ever owned, wish I still had it. The current range of BBs are brilliant too, I've been very impressed with the ones I've tried. Re: the pickguard, sorry, I think that looks hideous. Just my opinion.
18. First GAS was the Gretsch I just bought, but the GAS never ends with me, it's an eternal circle of hell.
19. Bakers Vaults or the Thatched House spring to mind. We've never played either for some reason. Also the Nags Head or the Millstone in Macclesfield are keen on tribute bands etc.
20. I'm loving some of these basses, here's mine: Gretsch Thunder Jet. No F holes, but it is semi hollow, and rather splendid. I really fancy one of those Dean Cabbies.
21. Personally I feel you should play anything you like if it makes you happy. I don't give a toss what the staff or anyone else in the shop thinks, I'm the customer after all. I love to hear some good slap and pop if it's played well (I can't do it), but you can't beat a nice simple funk riff for example, and that's what I use, the same riff on all the basses I try. Wayne plays a good punk style riff because that's his bag, and that's what you should do, play your thing, after all that's what you'll be doing when you get the thing home.
22.
the dude in new model army (morrow) would be worth looking
Stuart Morrow was brilliant. I've got "Vengeance" somewhere, smart album.
23. I have got to see your ZZ top band Doc. Is Dr Blue involved in the Colne festival this year? Why don't you go in a new direction Al? Dub reggae? Metal? You could wear a wig.
24. Awesome, I can't wait to hear that.
