1. Here's my new gig setup: Roll on Saturday night.
2. I've had the pleasure of playing this bass, and it is, quite simply, stunning. If you ever fancied an Aerodyne, this is the one, don't miss it.
3. Nice set up there, I'll be thinking along the lines of a 5er at some point, or even a Bongo 6.
4. I've got ruddy jazz guards coming out of my ears, none of them are white though I don't think, just black or tort.
5. PM replied to.
6. Bargain.......brilliant bags, I wouldn't use anything else.
7. POINTBLANK Live @ Moses Gate, Bolton, Friday Oct 24th (with UFO Tribute) Ship Inn, Macclesfield, Saturday Oct 25th Derby Arms, Colne, Saturday Nov 1st More to come........................
8. Superb, I'd love one of these, but never had the cash when one came up on the bay. I personally wouldn't worry about the scale. It is what it is, and I wouldn't be looking to alter an already great bass, just enjoy it how Jack intended it to be.
9. Drop Dead Gorgeous.......................droooooool.
10. Ashdown Perfect 10, in great nick. I've used it once as an emergency combo for rehearsing while I found a new rig. I rehearsed with it on Monday night, in the studio, with the band, and it held it's own pretty well. It's only 30W, but was great for practise, loud for its size, and some very useable tones indeed, I was genuinely very impressed with this little amp. It's quite heavy, so it's collection or delivered by me (within reason, NW England, Midlands), not posted. I'm just after my money back without profit, so it's yours for 50 quid. SOLD pending.
11. ................somebody................pleeeease put me out of my misery and buy this.
12.
If anyone can get £800 for a modern, standard Stingray I'd be impressed
I concur. In the current climate, £600 would be good!! Couldn't shift my Black 'ray a few months ago for what I wanted, but settled on £650 in the end, and I was happy with that. Stingrays just aren't reaching thier real value on the market at the moment, but at the end of the day, anything is only worth what someone will pay for it.
13. I once won a Fender Strat signed by Ritchie Blackmore. First thing I did when I got it home was reach for the Mr Sheen. It seemed to sound better afterwards somehow. A Stingray is a great bass, worth between 600/800 quid depending on its condition. Paul Turner is a great bass player (I'm a fan), but his signature aint worth squat. If the bass was signed by Jaco, we might be talking big bucks here, but we're not. Good luck with the sale, a '77 'ray would be a good buy.
14. Stone the crows Steve, I'm scared just looking at it. Is that your rig, or borrowed?
15. Every time I see this bass I want it more. I'd love to take it off your hands, it's right up my street, but alas......................................I'm skint. Someone will get a very very nice bass here. Never played a short scale bass, how does it feel compared to medium scales basses?
16.
Ha ha, and she kicks you in the nuts....
........and she most definately would.
17. Beautiful bass, I've always fancied one of these.
18. I love the Lake Placid Blue, for me the best colour for a DJ. Stick a white pearl plate on it from Jeannies and your laughing.
19. Superb gear mate. My DJ was outstanding, I hope Ray's happy with it. I just couldn't resist another Stingray to replace it. It really doesn't get much better than Lakland IMO.
20. A list of good kebab shops near the venues, and a crate of Stella. Just make sure you have fun that's all. I had the pleasure of doing a small tour with a rock band many years back, and it was a riot, I remember it all with great fondness, wish I could do it again now.
21. Just read a quick interview with him, and he mentions a 70s P bass, a 70s Jazz and a Stingray.
22. Never doubted it for a minute mate, love it to bits. Enjoy the DJ, and let me know how the gig goes with it.
23. Niiiiiiice.
