  1. Good mate. Been fronting my band on vox/guitar, so I've been out of the bass loop a year or two. Just bought a Precision, Jazz and Stingray after being bassless a while. I still miss the Spector NS2 I had from you, AND the upright, although I was rubbish on it. Hope you're well mate.
  2. If I hadn't just bought an identical US standard Precision I'd be all over this. Ash has great taste in gear and music, and is a top fella too.
  3. I bought a lovely Fender Jazz from Nick. Great comms, easy deal, friendly, well packed and quickly delivered . Highly recommended
  4. Fender Precision - TI flats Fender Jazz - Superbrights Musicman Stingray - Superbrights Roland DB500 No effects Done
  5. From an old git... Being in a band should be a FUN and fulfilling experience. Even when it's a serious proposition, looking for a deal etc.... but..... like ANY relationship, sometimes it's amazing, but often times its f******* hard work, and difficult to manage the different personalities. Like relationships you generally get a gut instinct when it isn't right, and when it's time to cut and run. IF you think it's worth fighting for, fight for it. Bands are hard.... been there, still doing it, still looking for a deal. Life is short. Enjoy it, enjoy playing. There's no time for anything else. Russ.
  6. This would be perfect for me in my flat for practice. Let me know if you find a box to post it in. Cheers Russ
  7. SUCH fabulous basses... I'll be a lifelong fan. Miss mine every day.
  8. My old bass...... I miss it terribly, the one that got away... twice :-( It was me that got all the signatures.
  9. I'll let you off...... a DJ4 was the best Jazz style bass I ever had. I sold that too.
  10. Best PRECISION ever, I had one of these, utter joy to play, very well built, great sound. Then I sold it. Because I'm an idiot.
  11. I use parcel2go, find a bunch of cardboard and a load of bubble wrap and poly chips. As long as you pack it well, preferably in a gig bag or something, and slacken the tension on the strings before packing, it's usually all good.
  12. I would just like to point out to people, that THIS is how to advertise a bass! Great information, lovely pictures. GLWTS.
  13. http://best-vintage-guitars.de/fenix_sh_shortscale_bass.html Anyone got one or know much about them? A mate is stripping one down and doing it up, we're just trying to find anything out about this particular model. Ta.
  14. The winding has been dented pretty badly by the look of it, does it still work?
