Lovely dark rosewood fretboard, great sounding Duncan pups, and nice and light. It's a superb guitar, but I'm a sausage fingered bass player, hence: £140 please. No case, but in a box, so I can post, but would rather meet/deliver within reason, as long as you're not in Devon or John o groats or somewhere!! I'm in south Manchester. It's really a lovely thing
3. Thanks all, I'm on it
4. Hi all, We're after organizing a show case gig at a London venue. Original heavy rock: www.crisis-rock.co.uk Anyone got any suggestions for somewhere central ish to approach?

6. For ME personally, if you are performing in front of people, then you should make an effort and dress up a bit and give the audience something to look at. Make the stage area (pub or club, whatever) look as professional as you can. Nothing worse than watching a band who look like they can't be arsed. IMO.
7. Sold Dunc some Quarterpounders. A true gent and highly recommended to deal with.
8. Would a guitar pedal, like a Boss DD2 or whatever work for a microphone? I want a delay option to stomp on during gigs for the lead vocals, so I want to run the mic into a pedal and punch it in and out in the same way that you do for a guitar. Would that work?

The Schecters really kicked some ass, and soooo happy to have gone back to Ashdown.........trouser flapping power.
10. Thanks pal, very much appreciated.
11. By the way...I think he plans to run the cab with an EVO 575 1x15 combo... Basically I want to know if he's ok to do that?
12. Quick question for those in the know..... I just sold an Ashdown ABM 2x10 compact. It was paired with an ABM 1x15 and was used with an ABM EVO 575 head. The buyer has pointed out that the 2x10 power rating is 200W @ 8OHMs, I'd assumed it was 300W @ 8OHMs, the same as the 1x15. Is this all ok? The buyer is concerened that 200W is not enough power handling, and that he may blow something? Any help greatly appreciated. I've never got to grips with it all to be honest.
13. PRICE CRASH!!!!! £100 !!!!!!!! Got to be a steal surely????

15. I'm not going to pretend I understand anything about electronics at all, I don't, but I know if something sounds good or bad to my ears. I had a lengthy discussion with my tech about wanting an incoming bass (which I hadn't even heard or played at this point) to have its guts ripped out and replaced with CTS pots, switchcraft jack blah blah etc etc. Because I had a preconceived opinion of what I assumed would be budget quality parts, I assumed it would be a requirement to replace the "Duncan Designed" pickups because everyone reckons they're rubbish. Everyone's wrong. They might be lower output than the Basslines in my other bass, but they sound bright, and punchy and with a lovely jazz like honk, I think they're great. I digress....during the chat with my tech he basically said that replacing the parts would be pretty pointless unless they were faulty. Replacing the pickups would be fine if I didn't like them, but why not try them for a bit first, then decide. Great advice, because I loved them regardless of the make or opinions of others. He then pointed out that cloth wiring looks lovely but is no different in performance to the plastic covered stuff already in there. same with the pots, if they work fine, leave them alone, don't waste your money. So the bass arrived, and with a new set of strings and a setup, it was fabulous just as it was, without any pointless jiggery pokery. From that, I learned, that I've wasted a lot of money over the years "upgrading" basses that really didn't need anything doing to them at all. The funk's in the fingers.....not in the lump of wood and wire they're holding.
16. I'm just about to unload a 2x12, so 'fraid not thanks anyway.
17. It looks similar to a Gretsch Thunderjet I had. It looked utterly beautiful. If I could, I'd have had it framed and put on the wall. However, (and I wasn't the only one of it's owners to say the same thing), it sounded dull and lifeless, very disappointing. No matter what I did, different strings, etc etc, I couldn't get a decent tone out of it at all. I'd thought about putting TV Jones' in it, but couldn't be bothered in the end, so I flogged it with much regret. Probably not relevant to the Deusenberg, but thought I'd share it with you anyway.
18. Norm sold me his spectacular Schecter Model T, which needed industrial cutting equipment to get it out of its packaging (a compliment). Superb and hassle free deal, very highly recommended by me.
19. Sold Paul my classic 50s Precision. Top chap, nice and easy deal. Very highly recommended.
