1. Really ahh ok. Mine is an '05 model, and and has SPB2 and SJB2 pickups in it. I thought they all had the same. Any road up, I'll get back to you if I can manage it financially.
2. Genuine SDs. The neck is a little thinner than a P bass at the nut. I love mine to bits, and I'm very tempted to add this one to the fold. I'm off to do some sums.
3. Dear reader, If you are browsing the ads for a tarted up, active, single cut, 6 stringed Walnut coffee table, with a wad of cash in your back pocket......... Don't waste your time or hard earned. Buy this bass, and it will give you more love, groove and soul than any toothless 2K plank can ever do, and it'll put a smile on your face, when you remember why......you picked up a proper 4 stringed bass guitar in the first place. If I had £240 I would now own the bass, but I haven't. If you have......what on earth are you waiting for?
4. If you can't play well with inexpensive gear, then you can't play well with expensive gear either.
5. I'd be interested in pics by the way, when you've sussed it.
6. OP....that's the longest signature I've seen in some time....nice list.
7. 2 x basses & 1 x amp.......that's me........ I'm beginning to think that maybe......I need more stuff??
8. Yes I can sell them separately no problem. might actually keep one if the other sells.
9. Sorry, meant to add, I'd do them both for £300.
10. For sale here are two cabs surplus to requirements. Both 8ohm, in nice condition, I've never played through them. I bought them a few months ago from an old chap up in the North East who was a jazz player I think, and he was down sizing. They're in nice clean condition, and I don't suppose he ever gave them much welly, so they're well looked after. Complete with canvas covers. EDIT: £125 for the 2x10, I'm going to keep the 1x15. Obviously they're too big to post, so I can bring them to you within reason (I'm in Macclesfield), or if you're too far away, maybe we can meet halfway or something. Thanks for looking.
11. Oh nooooo thought you'd hang on to this one. It's a beautiful Precision. If only I had the cash to get it back........
12. Sold my Precision to Rich. He's a lovely bloke, dead easy transaction, totally hassle free. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again, very very highly recommended basschatter indeed.
13. Very very sad to let this bass go, but my money woes continue. It's a 50/50 choice between two Precisions to sell. This one's worth more, so here it is. 2008 USA Precision, in lovely condition, it plays like a dream with the lowest action I've ever had on a P bass, about 2mm at the 12th fret. It's currently fitted with a brand new and unplayed set of TI flats, so you won't need new strings for about 5 years It also comes with its proper SKB Fender hard case. I want £600 please. I can delivery it within reason, or meet you somewhere to make the trade. Post is possible, but will cost extra, and UK only please. Very sad day for me, but at least I'll still have my classic 50s P bass for now. Groan.....something good has to happen soon....surely..... GONE !!!!!
14. 200 quid for a K5??? That's a crazy low price....someone have his arm off quick!!

Gone

I concur, top bloke and a superb bass. Slightly surprised he's selling it to be honest, it's a cracker. Even nicer in the flesh.
16. I want to record songs at home. I'm thick when it comes to kit though, so I wondered if anyone has any pointers re: cheap interfaces etc via a modest laptop running Windows 7. Would a Line 6 guitarport be any good? I've read they may not work on Windows 7? I've had a dabble with Audacity, but not really got to grips with it at the time of writing. My mate uses Garageband, but obviously that's for Apple, which is no good to me. I've asked this before in the distant past, so sorry for repeating myself, but I can't find the original thread.
17. Since its conception (and also its predecessor Bass World), Bass Chat has been a constant source of information, equipment and many new friends for me. It's been an invaluable tool and resource for me personally, and I'd recommend (and regularly do) any bass player, no matter what standard, to get involved.
18. Purple Turtle have gone. Not altogether bothered. They never had anything I wanted. Forgot about Drew, good shout.
19. PMT Salford has a fair selection, Fender, Yamaha, Musicman etc, and plenty of amps. Sounds Great in Heald Green is a great shop, but expensive, and geared more for guitarists. My new fave is Promenade up in Morecambe, an hour north.
