1. Wowzers....always fancied a Bongo, and that's a cracker.
2. I saw The Boners (?!?) in 1980 something, Lancaster Uni, on the Number The Brave tour. Unfortunately it was just after Martin Turner had left, so I saw them with Trevor Boulder (ex Bowie) on bass. I've been a fan for a long time, and IMO, Pilgrimage is still the best album.
3. Bought my Hartke Bass Attack pedal from George. Top bloke and highly recommended.
4.
Lovely Roscoe you have there Great guy to deal with, all the best with the sale.
Cheers Geezer. gigged it at the weekend, and.....I don't say this lightly, it was jaw dropping. The Kinal sounds beautiful through the Markbass, the band love it, and it's my baby, a definite keeper since I recently got it back, it'll go with me to the grave. The Roscoe........... is better.........
5. For sale is my Warwick Corvette $$ in black........ It's a great bass, German made, and capable of all the tones you could need. I bought it, albeit in a sorry state, to use in a rock band, but the basses in the picture below have rendered this $$ redundant, and I'm skint, and need some cash. It's seen some action, and bares a few scars, and when I bought it, it was pretty dirty and in need of some TLC. I cleaned it all up, replaced two of the tuners with new Warwick ones, new set of strings, and a coat of Warwick wax. It comes with a brand new Warwick Deluxe Rockbag, Warwick wax & polishing cloth, and new D'Addario strings. SOLD. I can meet you somewhere across the country within reason, I'm in Cheshire, but postage is possible.
6. Still here....final price....and this time it's nailed on......a frankly ridiculous [s]£275[/s] £250 For that price, I'm giving this thing away.
7. No idea mate really. The only way to know is to try them I guess.
8. I LOVE the Barts in my Roscoe, bright and punchy, lovely growl to my ears. MY Kinal has Aeros in it, which are IMO the best jazz pups. Either way, this Kinal is as good a bass as you'll ever own. Bargain for someone, I just wish it was me.
9. I did sir yes. Love it to bits, but I love the Kinal more.
10. A recently acquired Roscoe Century 5. I LOVE my Kinal MK-5, dearly, and to have a pair of them would be a dream come true, I'm a big Mike Kinal fan. The Roscoe is totally beautiful, a keeper, no question, but....for another Kinal...well..... One small, issue....it's loaded with Barts
11.
Still got this mate? Might be interested in coming to try it out as I'm fairly local.
REALLY sorry, I didn't see your reply, always best to PM. Yes it's still here.
12. A few more pictures...... I have a couple of interested partys, but I might as well put these pictures up, just in case.
13. Bump with a new price....£300, which is a ridiculous price, but it's just sat here gathering dust, and I need some cash.
14. I've recently become the bass player in a band I've been singing lead vocals for since the 80s. Heavy rock, original material, so I can get away with simplifying the basslines a bit, because they're our songs, not covers that everyone knows. It's pretty straight forward on most of the songs, with plenty of practise, but some of them are more difficult because of timing issues. Geddy Lee I am not, so my basslines with this particular band will be kept simple. In the covers band, where I'm bass and backing vocals, I'm quite a busy player. How on earth one can play busy basslines and sing lead, like Geddy, I really have no idea.
15. Thunderbird played with a pick yes? I see you have one on the way, you should get close with that.
16. I agree with all the above. He's one of my biggest influences of recent years.

Dave traded his Roscoe for my Stingray. The transaction was a breeze, Dave's communications were excellent, the whole job was a pleasure from start to finish. Top chap of the highest order.
