1. It is with GREAT regret, that I must sell my pride and joy, my basses. I have been out of work for 3 months, and have incurred mounting debts, and although I have a new job, it'll be a long time before I can catch up financially. SO....groan...... Roscoe Century Standard 5: Stunning bass. Awesome to play, awesome tone, fabulous. I don't know what else to say about it. Best B string ever, Bartollinis, 35" scale, all the bass you could ever want. £900 ono Kinal MK-5: Best Jazz pickups ever made, Aeros, Ebony fretboard, hand built by Mike Kinal in Canada. It's well played, and bares a few marks, but nothing major, no big dings or anything. Fabulous Fabulous bass, and my favourite of all the countless basses I've ever had. £900 ono BOTH basses £1500, that's a cash only deal, and that's not subject to negotiation. Obviously I need cash, but trade bait would be a US Precision plus cash, nothing else thanks. I'll meet you/bring the bass to you (within reason) as I work all around the country, but obviously Cornwall or Glasgow for instance would be too far!! Thanks very much for looking.
2. Another deal done, another pleasure. Cheers geezer.
3. Spectacular basses these. I had a cheaper forerunner of this bass, an APB-5, and it was pure magic. This one must be sublime.
4. http://kinal.dreamho...m/endorsers.htm That's me with mine, the last picture in the list of endorsers. note; the Basschat T shirt
5. It'll sound, and play, better than any bass you'll ever own.
6. Martyn is a gent of the highest order. I sold him a Warwick $$, and it was a hassle free zone all the way. HIGHLY recommended.
7. As used by Dug Pinnick with Kings X on the last tour. Superb basses these. I had one a while back and was very impressed. I also understand, from Dug himself, that Schecter were thinking about a Dug sig version of this bass.
8. Trade wise, I'm after a guitar, OR a recording device, Zoom, Tascam or whatever.
9. Come on, I want this thing out o' t' road.
10. For crying out loud.....someone buy this bass, and put me out of my misery.
11. Just a quick message, aimed at people who don't do the following....... If you sell a piece of equipment on Basschat, PLEASE consider making a small donation to the cause afterwards. Running this site isn't free, and if we all chip in, it can only make the site better. To those of you who DO donate after selling stuff, good on ya! This is all just my opinion, I have no affiliation with the site (although I've been on here a long time), and I've had no contact with the mods on this subject. I just think it's something we should all at least consider.
12. Wowzers....always fancied a Bongo, and that's a cracker.
13. I saw The Boners (?!?) in 1980 something, Lancaster Uni, on the Number The Brave tour. Unfortunately it was just after Martin Turner had left, so I saw them with Trevor Boulder (ex Bowie) on bass. I've been a fan for a long time, and IMO, Pilgrimage is still the best album.
14. Bought my Hartke Bass Attack pedal from George. Top bloke and highly recommended.
15.
Lovely Roscoe you have there Great guy to deal with, all the best with the sale.
Cheers Geezer. gigged it at the weekend, and.....I don't say this lightly, it was jaw dropping. The Kinal sounds beautiful through the Markbass, the band love it, and it's my baby, a definite keeper since I recently got it back, it'll go with me to the grave. The Roscoe........... is better.........
16. For sale is my Warwick Corvette $$ in black........ It's a great bass, German made, and capable of all the tones you could need. I bought it, albeit in a sorry state, to use in a rock band, but the basses in the picture below have rendered this $$ redundant, and I'm skint, and need some cash. It's seen some action, and bares a few scars, and when I bought it, it was pretty dirty and in need of some TLC. I cleaned it all up, replaced two of the tuners with new Warwick ones, new set of strings, and a coat of Warwick wax. It comes with a brand new Warwick Deluxe Rockbag, Warwick wax & polishing cloth, and new D'Addario strings. SOLD. I can meet you somewhere across the country within reason, I'm in Cheshire, but postage is possible.
17. Still here....final price....and this time it's nailed on......a frankly ridiculous [s]£275[/s] £250 For that price, I'm giving this thing away.
18. No idea mate really. The only way to know is to try them I guess.
19. I LOVE the Barts in my Roscoe, bright and punchy, lovely growl to my ears. MY Kinal has Aeros in it, which are IMO the best jazz pups. Either way, this Kinal is as good a bass as you'll ever own. Bargain for someone, I just wish it was me.
