I played this bass on Sunday, and take my word for it, it's fabulous. I would definitely be having it myself if I had the cash.
2. I've gone for the Elixirs for my Precision. Yolanda Charles has been waving the flag for them for so long, I've decided to give 'em a go.
3. I need to try either these or Elixirs. I sweat like a glass blowers arse live, so my strings (ususally Slinkys) go off pretty quick. I'm currently trying D'Addarios for a change because I've been disappointed with the longevity of Slinkys recently. So I might have a look at these.
4. Yum.....wish I had some cash, I'd have this. Someone buy it for crying out loud!
5. It's a fabulous example, I've seen it in the wood so to speak. Bargain.
6. Yes very nice that, and very tempting. Ever had flats on it?
7. Absolutely amazing bass, someone's going to be a very lucky new owner, but it never ceases to amaze me that people have that kind of money to spend, 11K? Blimey, I'm not sure I could scratch together £11 at the moment . Beautiful bass, I can only dream.
8. I for one am VERY interested, but very skint, same for many people on here at the moment. It's a great bass at a great price, it'll go eventually.
9. Surely someone is going to give this bass a new home soon? It's a cracker.
10. Groan.....I want this bass back sooooo bad.
11. I had one, and it was nowhere near as bad as some had said it would be. I pimped it with an EMG passive pickup, and re wired it, but even before that I gigged it along side an Overwater Progress 5 with no problem at all, it was a great little bass. The only reason I pimped it was because I'm a tart. I discovered that some of the folks who had slagged them off had never even actually seen one. Funny that.
12. Exactly what I'm looking for, but of course, I'm skint again.
13. Good gig on Saturday, a small crowd in a big pub is never good, but once we started the second set the place had filled up nicely. It seemed like a long gig too, we've been putting new stuff in, but failing to drop the old stuff, so it went on forever. We really need to butcher the set list. The Spectors sounded great, and for the first time in a LONG time, I had people coming up to me afterwards commenting on the bass sound, so you can't say fairer then that. A couple fo different people said the bass was really clear and punchy, not something they were used to hearing, as in this particular venue it was usually wooly and thumpy with most band. So I'm very happy with that.
14. Top bass, top bloke, must return his CDs, bump.
15. Someone from my home town, maybe I'll go and have a look at it.
16. I'm not a Ritter fan either particularly, but that's fabulous.
17. Probably been mentioned before, but I took delivery of "Let's Get Lost" on DVD yesterday. A fascinating rather than entertaining watch, it's a kind of scrapbook of the life of my personal favourite trumpet player Chet Baker. He's followed throughout the last months of his life, on a European tour, by a managery of some talented, some irritating people such as Flea (talented or irritating? You decide) it would appear, and extracts of his earlier life are mixed in. It's a bit annoying when the commentary keeps interrupting some of his performances during the film, so don't expect much in the way of live songs in their entirety, because the chop and change style of the film robs you of that, but it's a good watch for Chet fans, of which I've been one for years. I guess the final lesson is, don't do speedballs, if you value your health. Enjoyable, sad, funny, and fascinating for his fans, it's worth a watch.
18. I had to sit and wait for days for a beam of sunlight to appear.
