1. Yum, I'd love this, but I'll have to shift summat else first.
2. Cheers geezer, yeah, I thought it might go a bit sooner, oh well, no hurry. Price drop £600, with it's case, delivered, can't say fairer than that, but that's as low as I'll go. Trade....Precision, Jazz?
3. Oh, and I'm really interested in another nice Ibanez, Doug Wimbish model maybe, and preferably a 5er.
4. Final bump....... Trades for Warwicks...Spectors....Fenders....or the elusive Schecter Model T
5.
Any trades? Would swap for like Jazz; always a fan of the unusual; not averse to putting a little cash towards it... but not a massive amount. I'm having a crown reset this month, so my dentists demands all my money
What you need, is an Ibanez GWB-35.
6. Erm....I forget who sold it to me...oh....Paddy McBride it was. Not sure if it's the same one Hagguy had originally, but it was pretty pricey when imported by all accounts.
7. Yeah it really plays itself, very comfortable because the big cutaway on the back, beautiful fretboard too. I'm really not sure about this. I'll see if anything pops up then I think I'll just keep it. I also have a feeling it's an 80's rather than 90's bass. Others I've seen pictures of from the early 90's have higher serial numbers than this one. 80's....90's whatever it really doesn't matter, but it's a beautiful thing, and I'm talking myself out of selling it to be honest.
8. GAS free? Me? Never! Ever! No.
9. Cheers all for the nice comments. It's neck through..... Any marks you can see are reflections. The only marks on the back are very light ones that the camera wouldn't pick up. Edit: I'm interested in Warwick, Musicman and Spector 5ers, amongst other things, and I'd be happy to pitch both my basses together, this one and the Ibanez GWB-35 I also have for sale for a straight trade for the right bass, although there's no case with the Ibanez. I'm also interested in Fender Jazz if you have one.
10. Don't assume this beauty is a rock bass alone, it isn't, I've played everything from jazz to metal and everything in between. Awesome slap tone too. I think the picture behind me was one that fell off the wall during the gig.
11. Thanks for the offer mate, but not quite what I'm after.
12. Ibanez GWB-35. Superb fretless, in lovely condition, with only one small mark just under the pickup. I can't find another mark on it. Beautiful neck, great tone, it really is a fantastic instrument, I just don't need it at this point, and I'm saving for another purchase. No case though. TRADED
13. FS/FT is my ESP Horizon. Made in Japan in the early 90's, this bass is not to be confused with the cheaper Ltd range, this thing is pure quality. EMGs, 34" scale, beautiful Ebony board, low action, utterly fab bass, powerful, clean highs, gut wrenching lows, so much so that pictures fell of the wall during our last gig. Rarer than rocking horse s***, and complete with it's ESP case, I traded out my Spector Euro 4LX to get it, so I'm after £600 or a trade for something interesting, 5 strings prefered. I am after a Schecter Model T if anyone has one, plus cash my way, or a Precision or Jazz (4 or 5) Genuinely reluctant to sell it, so I may just keep it, depending on interest. NOW GONE.
14. I've ummed and aahhd about this bass for a couple of weeks, someone put me out of my misery and buy it. Bump.
15. Prosebass/Lakland 5, Ibanez GWB-35, ESP Horizon 5.
16. Broadcaster no, Thunderjet yes. It was a work of art to look at, really beautiful, nicely built, and if I could've hung it on my wall to look at I'd still have it now, but I just didn't like it at all to play. Tonewise it was pretty dull and unexciting, and no matter what I did, I couldn't find a tone I liked at all, but I guess it's horses for courses, what didn't suit me would float someone elses boat I'm sure.
17. First bass owned: Columbus Jazz Go To bass: ESP Horizon Your bass: Fender Jazz
It is a beautiful bass. Why don't you come up and give it a bash? I play it through a VBA400 & VBC810 I lived in Macc nearly all my life untill i moved to congleton with the missus. Lived on the Weston. Feel like i've seen you around. Do you get in the swan with two necks?
I haven't been in there no, but I should, we're after somewhere else to play other than the Ship Inn on Beech Lane. I'll have a think about money, it might be out my reach having just moved into my own gaff, but it's gorgeous bass that.
