1. I can ad I've left one of the 4x10s at a local metal venue as a lender cab and it hasn't blown up yet, so they must be pretty damn tough.
2. Isn't the nominal impedance that has to agree with the crossover. The crossover is interactive with the actual impedance (as in the varying with frequency thing) of the driver. So basically, more to it than an 8 ohm driver. A similar driver might work similarly, but the crossover might not even have been that suited to the one in there. Its another crapshoot like sticking a speaker in a box, there are simulators and such to figure, pretty much the same deal. on't actually know how much difference it makes in practice. Edit: Actually, it is pretty similar to the box tuning thing, because its another resonant resistive/inductive network thing.
3. It will pretty much not be compatible with the crossover. How bad that will be is a whole other thing, likely scenario is the amp will see 16 ohm, but crossovers do some funny things. Aim to figure what the cracking is first, might just be a loose connection, plenty of connections with a crossover involved.
4. Neck is just on wonky, looks like its a while since those bolts have had any attention, easy fix.
5. I've got a top end US BS Rich and a domestic Japanese one, but my frankenbass gets plenty of play. They are all nice basses though, just some could sell for more than others.
6. My first bass is screwed to the wall in my favourite pub. Too many modifications and my first attempt at defretting, and later refretting have killed it. Forgot to rob the nice bridge back off it though.
7. Vet anyone via email first, if they smell like 'I could get one on ebay for...' people, don't waste time with them.
8. Those are for when people rely on a big speaker for highs, and they are correspondingly directional. Shouldn't be an issue with the big baby with the small midrange driver. Sticky velcro strips, like pedals onto a board.
9. I've bought a fair few bitsas just to get some parts I was after, an sold the rest as parts to cover the cost. Definitely the way to recoupe costs, unless you can sell it in such a way people try it.
10. What cab is it? Panel resonance is kind of the cab's fault. Barefaced had this issue at one point with micro heads and corrected it.
11.
The first Acid Bath album is very much death metal - the second, Paegan Terrorism Tactics (from memory) is very cool, and has a very different vibe.
Don't get that from it at all. Wouldn't call either of them stoner. Grunge with more psychedelics pretty much. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR_C77r6PZA Also if this hasn't already been done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0v0ESFKEi5Q

Big muff advice

Sure its not mid you are missing?
13. Is it the sorta stuff that will shrink back if its warmed?
14. If you bid over the reserve, it takes it right to the reserve, just done it: http://www.ebay.co.u...utorefresh=true
15. They sound pretty similar, just each has a little bit more and one end an a bit less at the other. Together, they reinforce the overlap because they act the same there, and you get the bit more at both ends.
16. It it is one with transformers, jam a bit of wood between them, so if dropped, less bending can happen.
17. That lady is quite attractive. Kid needs some congas.
18. Checking the answer to the question there will probably tell you enough.
19.
when you say different motors do you mean different sizes? Or does it go deeper?
I mean motor, as in the magnet and coil part on the back, they determine how the speaker reacts to applied voltage, same motor will do basically the same thing even if has a different cone on it, keeps the phase relationship close, so you can mix a Kappalite 3012 and 3015 and the result will be reasonably predictable, because they have the same motor. Different motors mean that one speaker might be moving forward, whilst the other is moving backward at some frequencies and make a mess.

Octave Pedal

Danelectro do a octave up fuzz, there are a few octave fuzzes that go one up, but its not a clean one.
22. Mixing speakers with different motors tends towards a bad plan because it won't sound predictable. If you can try it out for free, do it, but definitely a theme of it not producing wyhat you'd hope.
23. Its gonna be sell it really slow for the price you want, let it go upsettingly cheap, or keep it, find something else to sell.
24. Don't think that sort of thing works with custom ones, no comparison point, so everyone is cagey about it. The original price is for a custom made for you item, which ceases to apply when resold, as its just an odd item then.
25. Using harmonics to bump up notes: about 2.30 in. I picked up that octave technique really easily, l except I pull more faces doing it, with more gain.
