1. Wet look:
2. Watt's mean not much in the scheme of things, what is it you are lacking? Your lack of headroom is unlikely to be in the 'watts'. The best way to get more watts is to buy the 150.
3.
That stuff that came out of the knot hole - have you tried smoking it?
Pretty much everyone that's seen it has suggested stash hole.
4. Just spotted this in my thread, ha:
Although I once finished a bass and it took me f**cking ages! Never again!
Got that pic yet?
5. Having trouble with loads of iron filings stuck to it from the wire wool. Been gathering with a magnet, but some are bit ingrained into the craggyness. Went over it all today with 1200 grit an white spirit, then wiped down with kitchen roll wrapped round a magnet. Got some liquid superglue to seal the bark edges, but have to wait for the white spirit smell to clear.

7. Wasn't me, only do that on things I want.
8. You just learned why mixing 4x10 and 1x15 is a bad plan, if you dig the sound of the 4x10, but need louder, get another one. If not, rig rethink time. Then you have to weigh the cost of replacing the 15" speaker against the sale value of the cab, considering it has a value without a speaker.
9. I like that someone bid so he can't correct it.
10. Oh yeah, had a good old swing on the headstock an didn't come off, so good to go. Finding the right socket to adjust the truss rod is gonna be more fun, imperial, but all mine are too thick to go in the hole. Edit: Quote made me realise how badly I typed this.
11. Laney Klipp, that one is sold, but I have one I'm selling for a mate sat here. And a one in need of a new transformer sat with Umph. They are pretty guitary though, have a distortion channel and such.
12. Gonna struggle on that sort of budget for playing with drums. A secondhand Peavey combo is probably best bet there. Features are pretty bad things to pay for at this level.
13. Bump. Wanna lose duplicates, and fund some more interesting amp restorations.
14. It isn't the evaporation of the meths that kills it, it absorbs atmospheric water and can rust strings if you leave them in for ages. With the increasing amount of methanol/alcohol in petrol, there is trouble with it rusting the tanks in classic cars that are left with a tank of fuel for periods.

16. Meths is cheaper than isopropyl, works the same. Absorbs water eventually and lets the strings rust, that's when I use it to light the bbq.

18. First coat of oil, rubbed on with wire wool to generate some sludge to fill the pores, will wait till hardens and rub back with fine wet and dry. 19. Think those Peavey 4x10s are tuned pretty low. Still curious about the dimensions so I can find out.
20. Shockwave was asking after them, and couldn't get, if enough people were interested, I could have them made.
21. Rapid turnover pickup purchase here. Seemed like no time between paying and arrival. Cheers.
22. You can tune stuff to the attack or the sustain, as the initial string movement bends it slightly sharp. With tone off, less harmonics and stuff might mean you are ptiching from a different part of the envelope, or losing the harmonics you were pitching from before.
23. The DoomHäus is my house, it replaced the House of Bass, I have loads of gear sat about since I rebuild amps and guitars and move them on. Its the hobby turning business thing since I can't get a 'real' job. It is in Easton/Greenbank, PM for details if you wanna pop down.
