1. You have a gain control as well as volume on that I think? Crank both, plus how hot is the signal you are hitting it with? Some basses are just quiet.
2. No box, working fine, made in Taiwan. £50 posted. Fairly sure everyone knows what these do, one and two octaves down.
3. Got a wristwatch with hands? Get a click every time it moves, if your wrist is near the pickup.
4.
Correct They said leave him bad feedback but they can't do anything.
Ebay can't, it's up to you to take a court action on the contract.
5. He's offered royal mail 1st class, which won't take an item that big, so his contract thing flies out the window. He'll go to the post office and fine it will go as a parcel for about £13, which is somewhere around the reasonable charge.
6. He's still trying to sell it to me, pointed out Royal mail 1st class won't take it as too big and heavy, would go parcel force for about £13. Then he messaged back, replied seems he is contractually bound to sell to someone else.
7.
Excellent suggestion, and I would if his start price had been 99p, no reserve! Jon.
I reckon those would attract looks, cause any bass is worth 99p, with an actual amount, which is pretty low, but more than a crappy bass is worth, more likely to be breezed over.
8. It lacks some bottom, but it is happy in a blend. PM me an email address, and when guitarist has finished editing the track, I'll send you a recording of me using one on the top end of my bass.
9. Bid onn this before he can change the title.
10. Find what's in it, see if they still exist and ask what is nearest equivalent, or if they have some useful specs.
11. I ahve a black one of these, is a pretty nice instrument, the biggest flaw being crappy tuners, which looks to have been dealt with already.
12. This is more for making weird ambient pieces, but dunno what you are trying to achieve: http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/
13. I once played disco basslines in a manner so sleazy that the (female) drummer's boyfriend threatened to beat me up.
14. Probably a fair bit, not very practical by today's standards, but a legendary rig, I'd love to own. They have the Mojo.
15. Kasuga
16. Probably some sort of Celestion would be trad sounding. I'd message some oldschool speaker repair places and see what they recommend.
17. Jeff makes MAtamp cabs so they stop working if you insult them by plugging in an Orange. Phone him and ask him what he thnks of your amp.
18. Had a think about this, and the problem with this year has been that so far, it has mostly been summer, and the winter bit we've had was in the midst of financial trauma. Generally in summer time people have better stuff to do than trawl the internet, and after a particularly depressing winter, even more so. I've only been able to look over my Dad's ebay account, he sells parts for classic cars and bikes, but the definite trend in the few years he has been doing it is that people sit in buying stuff during winter, so they can spend summer using it, might not be so direct with bass, but sure situation is similar to an extent. This year, winter has suffered, and the rest has been summer. Things I've been selling just took a bit more time to go at the prices I was after.
19. Pretty much going about it all the wrong way. I'm using a guitar preamp and a bass preamp at the moment, run each into separate halves of the power amp, and run different cabs from them. If you put a guitar preamp into a bass one, you don't get guitar and bass sound, you just get guitar sound, since the lows are already gone so the bass pre can't amplify them.
20. Not unlikely he read the power consumption. You rate your light bulbs and your kettle by their consumption, its not unreasonable.
21. Where are you based? Not really my thing, but someone will want to know.
22. If you wanna collect Or you fancy a fight to get your shipping refunded. I already offered to arrange my own courier.
23. Fairly sure it is this, just noticed a thin strip of irritation across my left thumb, where I sometimes mute the bottom string with it, only in a fairly specific fingering position. Bah, what a pain in the nuts.
