1. Think BassBod has EA 1x10s. Might be 1x12s.
2. Black made in England Marshall Guvnor?
3. What is wrong with the sound? Get a bunch of pre valves cause they are cheap and swap about. Power valve rolling is expensive, and mostly applies if you totally crank it only. Couple of sources say the transformer/something else is more the issue: Here, and here.
4.
The action's not spectacularly low but there's a bit of adjustment in the very Badass-esque bridge, and after that, lots of saddle to file...
I bought a lefty knackered Washburn something just to steal one of those bridges from. Turned out to have Grovers and other nice hardware on it, but a terrible plywood body.
5.
orange?
Boo! Matamp.
6.
Since some tard's placed a bid rather than hitting the BIN, it'll be around for a week. And I don't expect it'll be any particular bargain either. Jon.
Email him, saying you want it for the BIN, and he can cancel the bid.
7. Was talking about ribbon mics with Garcia recently (rock and roll). Very delicate and can break if something blows into them, like a person or a kick drum hole. But they make fantastic room mics, and he is after some, so shoot him a PM.
8. Guitar stuff generally goes in miscellaneous. A pair of 2x12s high passed next to something really bottomy does make a real beefy bass sound.
9.
I have a boss something or other pedal with lots of effects built in, perhaps I'll drag it out and have an experiment.
Might find a multi fx dissapears the real bottom, so it might sound great alone then vanish inder everything else. Big muff cab be the same, they have a mid scoop that can cause difficulties. With just one guitarist, that is a licence to multi-amp.
10.
Ah, g'wan then, have some doom from back when it was measured in Imperial units named after the man who discovered it (the Iommi) instead of this new-fangled metric stuff (is the SI unit of Doom the Om? The O'Malley? I wasn't paying attention in class):
The decibel.

13. What is it loaded with?
14. Edit: Everything has changed since the first ad, so I'm replacing it all and bumping. 60w Carlsbro PA head. I bought it in dodge condition and learn the basics of my way around valve amps sorting it out. So now it has new and upgraded filter caps (bit more headroom, less sag) I fitted top quality Nichicon electrolytics. I've also replaced all of the valves, and cleaned a lot of stuff up. Ideally, one of the input jacks (the first one) needs replacing, but since there are 4, I didn't bother. The jack in the reverb switch is shorted to switch off the reverb, instead of having a footswitch, since I didn't really use the reverb. I think the bias could do with tinkering with, but it is something I was a bit scared of, being new to such things, pretty sure it is set cold at the moment. After £250 and can ship.

16. Heavier strings and appropriate setup for detuning is the main thing, work from there. There are a few approaches you can take to carving yourself a space. Throw up some examples of sorta sound you are after.
17.
Its funny how so many guitarists have no idea about mid frequencies!
This one knows about mids. Realised the mid knob is like another volume control.
18.
In an effort to make the ply straighter a method I've adopted is to Clamp my straight edge to it whilst gluing In the hope that when the glue goes off it will hold the pieces straight - It's worked to a point, but not perfectly.
I think if you call this 'pre-tensioning' it is cunning engineering, makes the panels less likely to resonate.
19. Barefaced Super Twelve is a little less than them, and will take everything that head can throw at it.
20. Aguilar 12" cabs are great. But really, driver diameter isn't a determining factor in sound. Bass cabs with 12s have a tendency to sound better as it is a bit unusual so it is often nicer cabs featuring 12s, better designed than cramming a 15 or 4 10s in a box so it looks right. Never been impressed with any Marshall bass cabs though.
21. Thought the ECC81 was 70%, I had one in a DHA dual pedal, for the cleaner side, was not loads quieter.
22. What valve was it? If you have an ECC81 or 82 instead of an 83 you'll lose a bunch of volume.
