if the edges are lifting, get some thin cyanoacrylate (super glue) and run it under the edges, then paint it.

Check the manual. I'd guess you need to connect a single binding post from each side of the stereo outputs and flip a switch to bridge it. If you do this wrong, you have lots of amp wrecking potential going on.

If you used a crossover and a stereo coompressor, then mix it back again, would that be a dual band compressor?

[/quote] I think the GK 'growl' is a power amp thing, so might not count for them. The Trace sound is in the preamp, Shockwave has a Trace pre into a PA power amp, sounds like Trace. If you like the sound of your preamp, a power amp will just make that sound louder.

Lots more headroom mostly. But yeah, the preamp is the source of colouration for bass, unless you get into driven power valve territory.

My practice space has loads of Marshall bass cabs and they all suck. I don't think they've ever been known for good bass cabs.

If you are after a power amp only, get one made for PA, QSC or Crown are good names. Because there is more demand for bit power amps in that field, you get more for your money due to economies of scale etc. There are a few in for sale section I think.

Means you should pay any attention to the specifications quoted by your amp manufacturer. Alternatively: "Very little" Find RMS at a specific impedance. If it isn't quoted, send it back to Behringer.

Got this come through yesterday. My Matamp head came back from lending to JoeGarcia for recording an album at a little after 1am. There was some distressing temptation. Now I'm stuck at work. Had a speaker check running off my combo, that was room rattlingly loud.

An electrician to check out that room. There's more at risk than your cab.

Is that the lead between the terminal and the voice coil that has detached? When you reattach it, ensure it doesn't twist as it is a flexing part and can fatigue, or worse shift about and touch its neighbour, giving you a dead short (I've dlown a few fuses with one that did that).

Are you scuff sanding or fully stripping? Nitromoors gel will make life rather easier, if you have a ventillated place, like outside. Also, when I stripped my Wishbass, I found using a fresh stanley blade very useful to use like a cabinet scraper on flat areas.
