1.
You know you want it Zach
Maybe if you stacked 2 on their sides.
2. The two outputs of a TU2 tuner will do it, but you lose your mute. Its also fairly easy to mod any bass with two volumes to be dual output, but you might lose tone control on one. My method is using the clean out on my Sansamp to a drive pedal into my other amp.
3. Here is a pick of a guy down the road who taught me bass's old rig: I have a folded horn cab and valve head clearly cloned from it: There is a thread discussing it here: Huge vintage cabs I'm looking out for a second cab to make the rig of doom, as the waves of low end pressure coming out of it are ideal for our eyeball shaking. Oh, another thread I made about it: Folded horns
4. Calculate from components I'd guess. Wattage ratings are vague anyway. Is it valve? Throw up the power valve compliment and someone will give you a rough.
5. Ooh, can I get 5? It would finish off my guitar I made.
6.
i presume the dha produces quite reserved overdriven tones?
Depends how much signal you hit it with. It's for guitar, seriously good into the gain channel, can kick a rubbish single channel Marshall Vintage modern into Caricatures gain.
7. Have a Wishbass made, with frets. Post him your favoured bridge and pickups also.
8. Easier than rewiring is just take the pots out complete and swap places, as long as there is enough slack in the wiring.
9. There is nothing wrong with having a shim in the pocket. Truss rod is only to adjust the curve of the neck. It also takes time for the wood to shift.
10. Bridge cover doesn't mind how the strings are strung, unless they are strungg through a badass 2, in which case it won't fit. Get some wide masking tape and put bunches around wherever you are working on the bass, prevents dings and you can mark any holes you are drilling and double check they are in the right place.
11.
possibly even too loud for Lemmy!
Heresy!
12. The Ashdown electric blue combos come up madly cheap sometimes. Might even be able to squeeze an extension cab on to that budget. That would be plenty giggable.
13. M88 is far ahead of the octoplus. with tone rolled off it tracked to a G just about, amp didn't like it much, but it tried. More treble in the tone the faster it gets confused.
14. Don't fancy posting these, but could if pushed. Mazeti explorer copy, set neck, Mighty Mite motherbucker high output picks with coil taps to tame them some.Black with a white plate and gold hardware, £145 Encore Strat copy, black, £45 Washburn Superstrat £130 Might sell my Epiphone SG, see pics of Bunjy rocking it in Caricatures, £220, as it has EMG 85 and 60 in it and Kluson tuners. If someone buys this I will get a new switch and sort that, and mod it for 18v as long as there is space for second battery.
15. Alesis Microverb III, £25 DOD Octoplus Octaver £30 Sold MXR M88 Bass Octaver £60 DHA VT1-Purist valve overdrive pedal £50 This will need postage added. I usually do post included, but occasionally it was an unexpected stinger.
16.
Wow, thats a bargain!
Stop looking at cabs, f'sake!
17. Yeah, custom all the way. First you'd get something tooled up to make Mullard valves to original spec, on an island you bought where EU pollution and dangerous metals rules don't exist.
18. Might have finally sold my one, some dude is practicing with it right now, see if he likes it. Since he is going from a Marshall bassstate combo, should be all good. They are awesome amps, but a bit light weight, clean and nice for my purposes.
19. You'd better not be selling the Fender or the Yammy till I've had a chance to get some pennies together.
20. Not sure its jap, but the blatantness of the ripping off makes me smile. Probably going to be told its a real Gibson or something now.
21.
Anyone we know? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Giannini-Japanese-Re...emZ320337447809 But "Japanese"? Really. Brazil, Phil, Brazil. J.
The funny shaped case has to be a bonus.
22. Sold a distortion pedal, rapid transaction. Cheers.
23. Resonant light sockets give an awesome effect.
24. Saturdays gig I was totally rocking out to the volume, and only noticed what was going on outside of what I had to do to keep in time. I did notice the horrified look on the soundman's face when our singer jumped onto the drummers kit (soundman knows the drummer, and how protective of his kit he is). I very nearly didn't notice the singer when he came up to me as my hair was wrapped around my face like a scarf, and I nearly hit him with my headstock. As for what was going on musically, it was mostly volume.
25. It hasn't got that chip in it that everyone asks about. Not sure of how to date it, but it has the snot green board inside, not the bright greeen of those ones.
