1. I recon this would make a nice living room setup:
2. Stolen from here.
Lifting the earth connection of the 4.7µF capacitor will cancel the wah effect and leave you with a volume pedal. The '70s Jen Wah-Volume pedal also switches in a 4K7 resistor and 0.22µF cap in series across the 0.01µF "sweep cap", to prevent the tone becoming thin.
3.
Are they? Go see if you can find any "official" connection. J.
Proper webstores sell them as Tokai. Generally I don't check much harder than that. Link Course they might vanish again or something.
4. I have low As, but I find the general floppynesss is more pronounced and requires it being a bit higher relavtively to the others. I cut the nut a bit higher also.
5. TRaded a neck for a mudbucker. Both arrived the same day. Excellent.
6. Tokai
7. I had all the routing and drilling done on a guitar body for £25. I chatted to the guy for ages and have had work done quite a few times, so dunno if I got a good rate, previously I got charged the same ofor a single pickup route from the same guy.
8. Check the stickies.
9. 250325749950 Hondo p with 'humbucker', and telltale plywood covering sunburst.
10.
A couple of reviews on Harmony Central say that the LS-2 knackers your tone and can be quite hissy, any personal experience with this? If it's only a small ammount then this might be the way for me to go aswell, although I am getting all fussy about my tone these days.....
I've been using one with a Sansamp GT2 and it seems fine.
The one I heard sounded terrible. Really really bad.
That was my one, so I guess what I came here to say was already said. Sounded so horrible on its own that I never used it with abnd, but I guess its the sort of sound to make you cut through. It is useful for the effects loop and blend control though.
12. I just found his cd in my box of CDs and was making fun of his name to JoeGarcia only last night. Will probably catch that. Oldgit, if you are coming, I could jug my Wishbass along if you want a go with it.
13. I didnn't know they did siliking, is it more pennies? Had a bit of hassle with them sending to my old address as they didn't look at paypal delivery instructions second time I bought them, but excellent product. They work out the same or cheaper than buying a 5 string tapered set and chucking the G for me.
14. Hondo, appropriately cheap? 1302662259758
15. Just spotted this pic when realising I missed him playing Bristol. Dammit:
16. Might want to look at reviews section and Dave Halls own forum section in Basschat sponsors. Would link but about to sleep.
17. Looks like ash to me, looking at the plain wood in the neck pocket. Sureley you can tell by the sound. Ha. Basswood is totally palin and boring so its probably not that.
18. Another Satellite through neck P. Keep being tempted by these. This guy is really selling on the Matsomuku: 130266225975
19. I quite liked it. Think its one of those things where every aspect is given equal importance to every other. So the sound produced isn't any more important than the correct attitude when playing the sound. Likewise when listening everything must be taken as a whole rather than broken down for individual critisism. Or something.
20. Ok, so this is still going, due to size limitations. Its a big deep cab, hence its big deeep sound. Decent hardware on this, might get stripped soon if no-one claims. It moves easily.
21. I think you should hang on to your first bass. Work with it, new strings on it will be a sound revelation if the strings were old when you got it. Plus the bit of extra unplugged volume when you are jammin about the house is a bonus. Just keep an ear to the ground for a jazz, you can pick them up for no money sometimes.
22. Modded blazer: here
23. So I bought one of the jobbies from Maplins on Saturday, and was all packing up my stuff to take to practice tomorrow. Busting open the packaging and the edge of the plastic gashes my palm. Proper, 'ooh, look at the cut edges, just shallow enough there's no blood. No, wait, theres the blood.'. Also, why is this not stickied?
24. The stack know plate I bought had resistors in, wired together to the output (I think), guessed it was to stop the two sognals bleeding into eachother.
25. This looks a lot like the butchered 'Ibanez' that was local to me.
