1. A higher start. Worst shilling ever since I'm outbid.
2. Nothing beats dual amping for drive. You don't need much of a second amp if you have a bass rig already, it covers the lows, and only the lows need size.

4. Spend £100 or so on a Sansamp and you'll be good to go for ages, they tend to make rough amps sound better and give a DI that will do you well into professional levels.
5. I jammed a bid on, he says can arrange own courier. Might make me a portable rig, if I don't decide it doesn't sound best into brutally massive valve slaves..
6. Get Victor Wooten's Book the Music Lesson, its not technical at all, a pretty easy read and the most frustrating thing is that the 'characters' can kind of be bell-ends. But the stuff in there is pretty good.
7. Not been very active on the gear tinkering of late, because I've been busy with a pretty massive project. Its entering a competition so been a bit secretive but some preview stuff has been published online, so I can share that. Could have done with the person writing this actually asking us about it because the text is pretty totally inaccurate, but here's a preview: http://www.latitudef...lca/#cat_linder There are a few youtube videos of the existing ones:
8. Twisted or bowed? One can be corrected with truss rod adjustment, but a twist, which you can see by looking along the neck and see one side is more bowed than the other, is a strip the hardware and bin ob. Or practice defret for someone, so stick it in recycling items. Compatible necks will be easy to find, all depends on how much you want to spend.

10.
Is meths not Hygroscopic in that if you leave it open it attracts moisture so it would be not much better than boiling anyway.
Lid on the box. And it won't be 100% water like water is for a long while.
11.
That looks lovely. Shame you're not near to me.
If it was, you'd be lucky I am on holiday and have sporadic net access or I'd have beaten you to it.
12.
A few people (non bass players) have said that the quality of my guitar cable can make a big difference to my quality of sound
Important to bear in mind quality and price aren't linked. Suitable cable connected properly to suitable connectors is all that is needed.
13. Bit over a year later on. How has fashion changed?
14.
Would you recommend sanding down the new neck or extending the neck pocket to fit?
Depends which is cheaper. But the neck tends to be easier to mark up, and scrape accurately, but is made of harder stuff.
15. I think they have/are going to charge fees on post too. Paypal fees come off the post too, which must be considered.
16. 60mm seems small, likely to get something between 62-64mm much easier, and you can scrape them down easy enough.
17. Its post and packing, maybe he has an epic packing plan.

19.
Also my friend was looking into buying a new flute for uni the other day - why do the more expensive metals like silver give 'the best' sound, eh?
Might be more the best sounding metals are more expensive.
20. So when you are thinking of buying a cab from a manufacturer, ask them for those things, that way they'll know we want them, and you'll know their excuse.
21. Depends how carved up it got fitting the fan. And if the problem is really overheating, or merely a symptom. Probably fixable anyway.
22. What is wrong with it?
23.
But's not just a half day's of model and photographer time. There's also the couple of days time the marketing department and design agency spent picking which model and photographer to use (plus the stylist, and artistic director and all their minions)...
Not when I do it.
