1. Can't speak for the Modulus but I did have a $$ a while ago and didn't get on with it. Amazing array of tones, but small bodied (not my pref) and the neck seemed...well rough? If you've got that sort of money to spend, the world is your Lobster really. My Vigier cost about a third less than that and I'm really happy with it.
2. Your prices are good dude, just that everyone's a bit skint at the mo I guess. Good luck, it's a cracking rig. LC
3. Running mine with 2 x 4ohm for the full 500W. Plenty loud enough with 1 at 250w tho.
4. The covers band I've just had the pleasure of joining are doing: You really got me/Kinks Bad Moon Rising/CCR Hard to Handle/Black Crows Under the Bridge/Chillies Come as you are/ Nirvana The one I love/REM Man on the Moon/REM Paranoid/Sabbath (yes, I know) Smoke on the Water/Purple Fags & Booze/Oasis Local Boy in the Photograph/Stereo's Are you gonna be my Girl/Jet Last Night/Strokes My Generation/Who White Room/Cream Wishing Well/Free
5. Mark from Bass Direct gave me a set of these when I bought the Vigier (which had Vigier extra lites on at the time). The Cocco's are 45-105 and I am liking the extra tension. They sound pretty good too, even across the board and good definition low down. Anyone else a fan? LC
6. I use one of these and it sounds great through my Yam 6x10. Don't let the lack of flat or fuzz put you off, I never use these settings. Absolute bargain.
7. I've just noticed an identical '78 to mine in Cranes, Cardiff for sale. It's a lefty, but has "a fair amount of buckle rash on the back" and "worn control knobs". So not as nice as mine then. The price.......£1699 which has to make mine somewhat of a bargain!
8. Tuesday morning bump for this super clean and original '79.
9. 'Knock on wood' from last band, still gives me the eebeegeebeegees every time I hear it!
10. I had a few lessons with Nick whilst I was on contract in Peterborough back in the summer. Great bloke, fantastic teacher too! Hope you are well Mate, Gary
11. Hi Dave, Can I let you know about this tomorrow? That's very tempting but I have someone who may have it and I could do with the cash. If he doesn't come across I'll prob trade with you. Cheers Gary
12. Congratulations on your impending nuptials! LC
13. I did play this again last night and it's so versatile, thanks to the 5 position PUP selector and the Dragons - sounds fantastic!. Last wknd for sale guys then I'm keeping it. As always, open to offers and basses to trade with. LC
14. Thanks for all the Pm's guys and for the nice comments. Still available although I think there is some fairly ferocious cash raising activity going on! I know I'll have that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach when she goes!
15. Apologies for that last post I am clearly a numpty. You posted double bass didn't you!
16. They used to give these away with a subscription to Bass Guitar Mag, although lately its a set of Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky's!
17. I've even got the original owners manual and QC swing tag. The case is mint like the bass.
