1. Having found out that I'll have to wait for a Roger Waters P, I was wondering if anyone has a Gibson SG? I know the two basses are like chalk and cheese but I do kinda like 'em. Cheers, LC
2. Given into my GAS and gone and ordered one. I'll post some pics and a review just as soon as it arrives! LC
3. Tee Hee....I'm so glad this sort of thing doesn't just go on in Orchestra's. I've spent the past 20 years or so playing 'Cello in Orchestras putting up with the Ego thing. People thinking they are better than they actually are and wanting to sit in the best positions! I'm lucky since I switched to Bass in that the band I am in are all the same age, all like the same stuff and were not precious about anything....although having said that I wish the Lead Retardist would play some rockier stuff See, you cant win!
4.
I'd be interested to know how many of us sing as well as play bass. Particularly interested in front men....the Phil Lynott's of this world. I can sing fine when strumming chords on my six string. It gets more interesting when you have a bassline that has no 'pattern' to it. I.E. you cant switch-off and do your vocal. LC
That'll be front men AND Women of course!

6. Arctic Bump I may let this go for £100 if someone wants to come and collect it or I'll drive a reasonable distance in exchange for some petrol money. Thanks, LC
7. Blimey, I'd definately have bought this had I not got hold of someones old Peavey 300 on here. This is an absolute steal. LC
8. Iv'e got the Squier VMJ (Natural) and I love it. The overall build quality is 'good' with no rough edges to report. I think TBH the quality may vary a bit so best to play one in a shop and check it out before you buy. It has the same pup's as the '77 and IMO they are very good. You can get it to growl very nicely and I changed the Fender strings for some Ernie Ball hybrid slinky's and these do make a diference. Overall, for the money, nothing much can touch it. LC
9. Hmm...let me see Roundabout Yes (incredible stuff by Chris Squire) Trees Rush Fool for your lovin Whitesnake (Always admired Neil Murray's inventiveness) Josie Steely Dan Bad day REM All my loving Beatles (sometimes simple is best) We are an american band Grand Funk Railroad Ramble on Zep I've been listening to Jack Bruce's playing on Crossroads as my band is covering it soon. One word - MAD!
10. Just bought Neal's old Peavey Combo 300. Straight up guy to deal with. Cheers, Gary
11. Very Roger Waters! Nice....
12. A piece of history right there! Good luck LC
13. Come on guys, bargain of the century here!
14. Any cash offers? Any trade offers? Good little stack this, Ashdown quality and hardly used. Cheers, LC
