  1. Morning Malikos. I`m living in Denmark. I`ve shipped basses all over Europe throughout the last 10 years, so the difference in our locations shouldn`t be a problem from a buy/sell perspective. And as Binky-Bass very kindly confirmed by his refrence to owning 3 in the past, they are indeed very good instruments with nothing more to wish for. Pleasant day to all. Thomas
  2. I am slimming down to 1 main bass, which very likely could be an Alembic Rogue 5 string. Long shot, but if you happen to have one and willing to take this Aries in a trade + money off course I'm interested. Otherwise, trade could be something for which there's always an interest and the possibility for a quick sale for me afterwards, like a Stingray 5, Jazz 5 etc. Up for sale my Aries Senses 5 string Single Cut bass. Aries instruments are unfortunately rather rare and no longer in production. The founder of the company, Arijan Sabic, closed his business some years ago and according to local sources in Croatia he moved to Germany to work as a luthier. A shame really, these instruments deserves to be recognized for the quality the possess. There is still a fan driven Facebook site with all the history https://www.facebook.com/AriesBassescom/ Mine for sale is a 35" 24 fret but feels like a normal 34" as the neck is set quite deep into the body yet with unlimited access all the way up. Mahogony body Padouk top Ebony venier Maple neck with ebony veniers Ziricote fretboard 2 x humbuckers, matching wooden cover, with split allowing for parallel, single coil and humbucker by means of the two switches 3 Band Pre-amp plus blend and with pull of volume for passive Hardware from ABM and Hipshot Weight around and not above 4 kg. Endless sustain and an ultra defined B string due to the design and 35" scale. This bass can sound exactly as you want from mumbled neck PU with mid and treble rolled off to powerfull full blast with both PU's in Humbucker, or Jaco on steroids with neck PU in parallel and bridge in Humbucker and balance towards rear. I got this bass in a trade earlier last year but are slimming down to the bare minimum hence for sale. This particular instrument has been traded on the German/Swiss bass site bassic.de for varios sums between 1650 and 2500€ If it had an american brand name on the headstock you'd be looking at the same price level as a Ken Lawrence who was the first I saw with an opening in the upper SC. I'm asking a very resonable 1650€/1350£ incl. a hard case. Shpping can be made for around 50€ within mainland Europe and 60£ UK (Brexit) Thomas P [email protected] WhatsApp and mobile: +4561209520
  3. "Buyer" from yesterday turned out not to be a "Buyer" after all, so available again. 1500€ Shipping in Europe included. 1995 Stingray 5 with ceramic PU (higher output) in a beautiful Honeyburst finish and a maple/rosewood neck. Condition like new. Probably one of the top 5 genuine “Work Horse basses” out there. Gator case included. I`m getting this in a trade but don`t really need it hence off to the next happy owner. Willing to trade for the right thing with a minimal pay up possible, such as (5 string only) Old Warwick Streamer stage 1 Lefay Pangton headless Status with graphite neck Aries Senses Tino Tedesco Jazz Maruszczyk Sputnik 34” or similar SC bass Fender Roscoe Beck Vigier Leduc Chris Larkin or something else out of the ordinary. Looking forward to your replies. Thomas P WhatsApp/Mobile: +4561209520 mail: [email protected]

  6. Hi Cenas. Is this still around and would trade with a 5 string Musiman be of interest? Regards Thomas P
  7. Link to review of the specific instrument https://youtu.be/gIKgc-eYjFc
  8. Thank you very much Black Coffee. Really kind of you! Because you have onced managed to fulfill a dream doesn't mean it should simply be stowed away. Change in my job situation has caused me to be away from home every week with very littly time to play and practice. Others should get the chance to enjoy it as much as I have in the past.
  9. Or 6500€ Alembic Mark King Signature Deluxe 5 string with LED Bass is from December 2015. Spec as follows: 34" - 24 fret - 19 mm string spacing. Neck of Maple and Purple Heart Ebony fingerboard with Abalone inlays Mahogny body with laminated Maple & Purple Heart Cocobole top and back Weight: 5.7 kg - sounds alot but if you can carry an old Musicman or Fender Roscoe Beck/ Warwick Thumb / Peavey T40 you`re fine. Approx. 1kg of this is actually due to the 4 ea. 9v batteries for the Led`s and the brass covers on the rear. Sure you can get a Luthier to make something lighter if required, or get Alembic to make wooden covers (known option). Volume, blend, 2x filters with Q switches. Leds in the neck with switch 95% as new with only slight discoloration of parts of the brass bridge Original case in as new condition Latest list price: 18.000 USD, Add import Tax and VAT on top of that to get it into Europe/UK. Instruments from this brand provides a truely unique life experience of "Before & After". Before - you may wonder what the fuzz is about and whether they are really worth the money. After - all that's left to say is a capital YES! The closest thing to a Steinway Grand Piano I have ever heard from a bass in terms of evenness in volume across the neck, clarity and complexity of the note in which the different wood, strings, hardware and plugging technique all blend into a note that rings with authority, and forever. And an Alembic is not only about a treble hifi sound. It can sound equally powerful like the voice of God with a bad hangover. How this bass sounds: https://youtu.be/i0OCKOeYO3c Selling as I play way too little to have something as this just resting in its case. I can take a 5 string bass in trade plus money. Shipping will likely be expensive due to insurance. For those living in central Europe, I'm willing to meet somewhere in germany for a personal handover which is included in the price (deposit required). Pictures by previous owner used with permission. Regards Thomas What's App: +45 61209520 mail: [email protected]
  10. As always from you, something we don't see everyday. Good luck with the sale, I'm sure it will be gone very soon.
  11. A number of people have asked for sound samples. An easy way of doing it, plus viewing the instrument, is through WhatsApp, as I can play the instrument during the call/connection, and demonstrate the versatility of the PU selector as well as function of the pre-amp. So don't hessitate to contact me if of genuine interest. Regards Thomas +45 61209520 WhatsApp
  12. Morning Re-listed. I happen to be so fortunate to also possess an Alembic Signature which is has become my main instrument, so no reason this really nice F-Clef isn`t used more than it is. Too nice an instrument to be a back-up bass, less can do.
  13. Just bought a very expensive isntrument from Goran. Couldn't ask for a more honest, committed and kind person to buy from. Goran gets my absolute best recommendations.
  14. Hi Omar. What's the string spacing at the bridge?
  15. Mustafunk always has some interesting basses for sale, and great guy to deal with as we have bought, sold and traded basses a couple of times.
  16. Thanks Guys! Sincerely appreciated.
  17. Hi Jo. No problem at all. And yes, there seem's to have been a number of these basses being equipped with Pope pre-amps in the past. And yes, there's been quite some interest, so let's see who becomes a happy new owner :0)
  18. Sorry forgot about the saddle. From center of B string to center of G string there's just short of 39mm. Width of neck at saddle is approx. 50 mm.
  19. HI No it's not a Pope pre-amp, it's a Seymour Duncan as I wrote in the add. https://www.seymourduncan.com/single-product/active-bass-preamp-3-band-for-passive But that shouldn't set us apart, as I can remove it, and install a Pope if you want, and you can cover the diff. in price. alternatively, I can remove it, wire the bass as passive with volume/volume/tone, alternatively Volume/tone plus a 4 way switch (Neck PU/Parallel/Bridge PU/Series. I've had that on Jazz basses before which to me makes them extremely universal, as you have 4 basic sounds to tweak. It can even be added together with a pre-amp. Size, don't have any standard jazz to compare with, but I'd say it's sligthly smaller just by looking at it. Fretboard radius, just checked with the radius gauges I use for setting up instruments, and it's somewhere around 16". Do I actually need to sell this bass to buy a new? No, I'm 54, worked my a.. off for way too many years, even been away from home/wife/kids for too long it's a gift they are still around. I'm just humble to the fact, that I don't play professional, I like trying various instruments, and as written above, practice makes you a good player, not 10 high-end basses lined up just to show off :0) Above with the best intentions! Thomas
  20. Hi. String spacing IS adjustable given it`s an ABM bridge, and B string is all you can ask for. Funny you mention it, but it was actually one of the first things I noticed when I got it. Absolutely as coherent as on any of the 35” scale basses I`ve had in the past.
  21. Thanks guys. Yes, sure is a very nice bass, and only up for sale as I try to keep my invested budget into basses under control. One in, one out, as having multiple instruments wont make me a better player.
  22. Very nice modern 5 string Jazz Bass in nearly mint condition. As good as they get from the likes of Sadowsky, Lull, Alleva Coppolo etc. 2011 US built, Ash body with maple neck and birdeye maple fretboard with pearl block inlays 34", 19mm string spacing, 3.9 kg, PU's in 70'ties position Seymour Duncan PU's and 18V 3 band pre-amp with pull at volume for slap sound, which can be pre-adjusted by two small pots in the control cavity. Condition is extremly clean with literally no marks to body or neck, as well as fretboard and frets in excellent condition. Extremely low action is possible. You can really dial in the distinguish Paul Turner sound he has in the live performances with Jamiroquai since he started playing Stenback basses. This one does the same, cost 1/3 and not with a 4 year waiting list. Bass will come in a brand new Gator case strung with a fresh set of Dunlop Super Bright. Only selling to fund a very expensive instrument, hence trade is not of interest unless it's a 5 string Alembic Mark King (plus money) or a 5 string Warrior Dran Michael Asking for a resonable 2200 € plus shipping. 23. Hi Guys Thank you very much for your suggestions and input. There was a Yamaha 5000A for sale locally at a resonable price, but it got sold before I had a chance to move on it. How about an Adamovic Dark. Any experiences with such one? Kind Regards Thomas
  24. Hi all I`ve had the previlege of owning a couple of very well built basses (Ken Smith/Lefay/Status/Jerzy Drozd) which had body shaping and neck profiles making them extremely comfortable to play, but all with a rather modern sound. Also when strung with heavy gauge nickel strings. And even with a good 3-band EQ, dialing in more bass, or reducing mid/treble, the sound either becomes uneven or drowns in the mix. So my question is, what 5 string bass should I look for, with the ergonomics of a Status/Lefay but with a rather classic big/round yet clear sound without being too harsh? I do like the sound of an Alder body, but it doesn`t really seem to be favored among luthiers making such instruments. Regards Thomas
