Firstly, apologies for me abandoning this thread. I've now moved to university and there has been a lot to do (and drink...) so this kinda fell to the back burner. However, normal service will be resumed.
I am interested in the 1 x 15 cab as well... immediatly! How much for that please? Ta. Aaron.
Was looking for about £100, although feel free to make me an offer. I'll totally understand if you've sorted something else out in the delay however. Cheers, Adam
Depending on price, would be interested in the 2 x 15 if you decide to go ahead with split Whats the wattage + Ohm rating and how are the rear connectors laid out
I'm probably going ahead with the split, as I've had interest on all 3 cabs so far. As for the 2x15: 400w 4 ohms Input is jack socket or XLR, there is an output (jack and XLR) for linking with other cabs. Price would be around £200. I'm based near Leeds so it would be pickup or you'd have to arrange a courier. Shoot me a PM if you need any further info. Cheers Adam

I'm off to uni in September and due to space constraints, I'm having to sell my Trace Elliot rig. I bought this here about a year ago and have only used it a little. It was second hand when I bought it, so I'm unsure how old it is. Full working order, a little scuffed around the edges but still absolutely solid. It consists of: RAH 1000-12 Head (2x500w channels) Trace Elliot 2x15 [s]Trace Elliot 1x15 [/s] SOLD Trace Elliot 4x10 Also included is the matching footswitch Any trials welcome, just shoot me a PM. I'm looking for £1000 but open to offers. I'd rather not split it up but will if the interest is there. No trades thanks. Thanks, Adam
Luthiers? Oh we're spoiled for choice in the UK... Shuker, Sei, Overwater, RIM, ACG, Manson are the first ones that spring to mind. Then there are other smaller makers like Tom Waghorn. Whereabouts in the UK are you?
I live up near Leeds.

Interesting idea. I hadn't considered a fully custom job before. If I was to persue that avenue, which luthiers should I be looking at? And thanks for the replies guys, plenty of stuff already that I've never heard of!

I'm looking to upgrade from my Fender Jazz into "super jazz" territory. However, my knowledge of the upper end of bass manufacturers is somewhat limited, so I need your help. At this early stage all I'm looking for is as many brands as possible that I can then research and narrow down into a shortlist of basses to try. My budget is up to £3000, although I would be prepared to go slightly over for something special. I'm also very much open to buying used. Thanks guys. Adam

Just seen this listed at £168! Slightly more than I was expecting, gotta be honest. http://www.dv247.com/guitars/ibanez-ts9b-b...on-pedal--82538

Last time I was there, PMT had one or two in second hand, but they are by no means official stockists.

Hey guys, I was hoping you could advise me on an issue that has recently come to my attention. Before we get started, I'll hold my hands up and say I know very little about how amps work, so please try not to get too technical on me I am currently playing through an Ashdown 300 watt combo with a single 15" speaker. Thus far, it has been more than adequate for practise and the occasional jam. However, my band has recently started playing some local gigs (hurrah!) and I find I am struggling to be heard over a drummer, a Blackstar halfstack and a Marshall. My Ashdown combo has another jack in the back for an extension cab. My question is, therefore, will an extra cab increase the available volume? Will it make a large difference or a negligable one? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a more powerful amp? The floor is yours, gentlemen.
