  1. My dream is to get a hands on grace design m103 mic pre for studio purpose. They are the best preamp hands down and I'm sure this one it's a bomb. Would love to have but don't really play lives but if my situation would change that's is what I would be getting . Someone is in for a treat Glwys
  2. Anytime around Devon area ?
  3. So not many people do it as a living as I can see. My dream of becoming a full time musician is crushed by you basschatters 😅. I understand the long hours and hard work which I don't mind( spent 15 years of my 40 in kitchens ).as for earnings I would need around 2k to 2.5k(roughly 30k a year) a month to be comfortable and as I can see its not the easiest. In tge past I used to be a signed musician and have never actually made alot of money from it but cost of living etc was different and had no family commitments, but I have managed to collect alot of stuff to actually open a music studio which is something I had in mind for a bit alongside playing live. Perhaps is time for me to find a different job and then build from thst by playing weekends etc. It's actually really sad that so many of us actually struggle to play bass for a living
  4. Wow that is actually good but totally understand that it's not the easiest thing to do nowadays. I live in South Devon so loads of weddings around this side and I guess I could get couple of gig playing few hotels .

  6. Thank you for your reply Joe Good question and to be honest either way. I guess the earning scenario is that a new band charges less while the established one will charge more right?
  7. Hey guys , I have reached a point where I'm really unhappy career wise and wish to switch. I was wondering how many of you make a living playing in function bands for weddings parties etc? Any advice ? Does it take a long time to be established ? I'm sure there are loads of bands out there and wwlanted some advices(especially from those who make a living out of it)on what makes you stand out
  8. Yamaha YAS-62 Pro Alto Saxophone £1,250Selling my much loved saxophone due to lack of use and financial commitments. It's a great saxophone for intermediate or general serious saxophonists. Not for beginners. Cosmetic wear & tear, but plays great. More pictures possible upon request, and can be viewed + played.

  12. Thank you mate !! Health always comes first. That sounds absolutely amazing and crazy at the same time . Sometimes all you need is a bit of luck( obviously your friend put a lot of effort ) . I will be doing the same Thanks for the advice guys
  13. Ahah sorry. I'm in South Devon but ad I have said above I don't mind commuting ( actually an excuse to get out of tge house mire often) . I have been out of the loop a bit and also moved since when I used to play live form York to south Devon so obviously that don't help, hence I was asking if there is a platform online and I have not notice or didn't know about. The old networking always seems to have the result out of it all
  14. Thank you ! I don't ming commuting. Did that with previous band . Had to travel 1.5 hours to get to rehearsal. Bristol is a great place to be for sure
  15. After( finally) few years I feel I'm ready to start to gig again. I had some health issues that stopped but feeling as good as new. I was wonder9bg where is the best online place to look for a band or session work ? Tried join my band and bandmix but there is nothing really that attracts my attention . Looking for something a bit more serious in someway. Any tips, tricks, advices? Thank you in advance Tony
  16. Wooooffffffff. That is my dream bass r9ght there
  17. Bridge can be adjusted. I think I have got at 18mm atm( can't remember really but I can measure it ) . The top horn is solid as rock , not sure what would you have to do to snap it
  18. Hey Tony , Yeah I thought about it but I don't really need a fretless and adding frets to a pentabuzz would it be something to go in prison for a long time.
  19. Same here !! This is my second pentabuzz and last time I regret selling it big time and I'm sure I will this time too( unless I decide to keep it) but I don't really use it that much . I don't play live or with bands anymore. But yes, best fretless in my opinion and I owned few
