hi guys , how do you choose/find the right producer for your music? and how much do you spend ?
just asking as we are writing album 2 and first album did very well but we wanna move from a more organic acoustic sound to something a bit more experimental so we have tried couple of guys but still not happy with sound at all
Basslines in so called 'indie' music isn't all root 8ths anyway. Check out 'Compulsion' by the criminally underrated Doves. (I would have included a YouTube link here but seemingly they've all been blocked / deleted...)
doves , great band
every human being has different taste in music , you can t judge a bass player just cause plays in a indie band .
if they are where they are in the music industry its because they are good at what they do .
i played in a indie folk band for years and was really fun , tour the world etc.... now sat in my living room playing to my self.
there are other musical abilities involved in a indie band apart from playing bass

This woman's voice is just so powerful and she has so much control. I thought Gladys Knight and Donny Hathaway had a great voice and i love them, but Jennifer Holliday is just incredible.
