1. Hi Clarky , I am interested , I like the fact it's a 4 bolter with a Maple neck . I assume all the basic's are there , ie , straight neck + pick-ups work . Do the frets have much wear ? Are you based in Central London . ( I am on the Isle of Wight ) Thanks Martin.
2. I play a 57' Vintage Series Precision and it is my favourite bass ever , I have a real 63' P-bass under the bed and I still prefer the Vintage Series P. This is a good price , especially when so see what they go for on the Evil-bay , I am sorely tempted to go for it . Any more photo's ? Thanks Martin.
3.
Thanks, Any idea of postage costs yet Martin? How heavy is that brute? Dyce
Hi there , Have not had chance to get to the post office yet , but it weighs 21kg on the missus bathroom scales ( I cannot vouch for them being 100% accurate , though ) and according to weight + dimensions on Parcelforce website your looking at £32,50 Postage in mainland UK . If my day off work is not cancelled ( yet again ) to staff illness , I will pop down the Post Office for a proper quote . Thanks , Martin.
4. I am selling my Markbass superbooster Pedal . This pedal gives you the VLE ( vintage loudspeaker emulator ) and the VPF ( Variable Pre-shape filter ) Filters that are found on Markbass amps , and a boost pedal for when you need to solo or drown out a bad guitar solo . This item is new and boxed and comes complete with it's own power supply . I am selling this item to fund a distortion pedal , so if you have a Markbass Distorsore pedal , I am interested . This was a birthday present from the other half who is a non musician , but she knows I use Markbass amps + cabs . I '' oohed '' and ''aahed '' and told her it was just want I wanted , I did not have the nerve to tell her I already had all the filters on my amps already . At last she has come round to the fact that the pedal is duplicating my amps and I can sell /trade with her blessing . Many thanks for looking . Martin

Also, would you be willing to post?
Hi there , yes I am willing to post , I am going to box it up and get some quotes . Controls round the back are : Extention speaker Socket Stereo headphone Socket Effects send and receive Socket Horn on/off switch and headphone switch Many thanks for your interest . Martin.
6. I am selling my SWR Workingmans 12 combo due to the fact that I have accumulated too many amps and running out of space . I bought this amp from new for £450 from Mansons in Exeter in 1994 , which was a lot of money ,back then. Yes , I know it is 16 years old , but it is one of the original Californian amps built by hand by Steven Rabe and his team . We all know Fender aquired SWR later on and shifted production to the East . I play in a Duo with an Acoustic Guitarist , so I am not a thrasher of gear , I look after all my stuff meticulously and still have the original receipt , owners manual + warranty form . The amp has been serviced by the Trace Elliot engineers recently , mainly to try and eliminate speaker pop when the amp is switched off , which they have partially cured , provided the volume is turned down to zero . The sound is great , very clear + transparent with the Custom 12 inch Celestion speaker and you can plug in another 8ohm extention cabinet for more volume . The amp is great for rehearsal and small intimate gigs , and can be DI'd through PA for more volume I figure just over 1/3 of the purchase price is a fair price . I live on the Isle of Wight , but I am happy to bring the amp over to Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington . Thanks for looking . Martin. 20/08/2010 Sale of amp withdrawn , after checking all functions , speaker pop seems to be worse , so not suitable for sale at the moment . Apologies for any time wasted . Thanks , Martin.
7. I bought a Markbass NY 604 from Squib a week or two ago , smooth deal and nice bloke to deal with. Well recommended , Cabs a real Killer!! Thanks Martin.
8. Thanks to Tandro for the purchase of my 87 Warwick, very smooth transaction , nice chap to deal with and 100% recommended . Hope you enjoy playing her and look after her. Thanks , Martin.
9.
My BB2025x (Vintage White) arrived yesterday. Pics to follow soon. Fitted a Hipshot BT10 D-tuner to the BB2024x too - it's absolutely perfetto now!
Hi Sean , I have ordered a BB1024X from Thomann, they have told me they will be shipped from Japan end of Sept . Are you happy with the 2024 and do they justify the price tag for essentially a Japanese guitar? Thanks for your time. Martin.
10. Hi there , I am interested in the '59 , and may soon be in a position to get said 4K. I am new to Basschat , but have been playing/collecting for 28 years ( mainly Precisions + Strats ) . I live on the Isle of Wight , do you have any more pictures of bass ? Many thanks for your time . Martin.
11. Hi Guys , thanks for the posative comments , I bought this from a Guitarist who owned both Streamer and Thumb Bass's and it seems to have spent alot of it's time in it's flightcase , hence it's clean condition . I'm not sure of the woods used , but the neck has that unique ''woody '' feel that you will only get on the Warwicks . Cheers , Martin.
12. Hi there , I am new to Basschat , I am selling my 1987 Warwick Streamer with warwick factory flightcase for £1000. The late 80's Warwicks are considered to be the last of the '' proper '' Warwicks before the EMG Pick-ups were replaced with MEC's and they started making bolt on necks . The bass itself is in excellent condition , minimal wear on the frets and the body is free of marks / scratches . Great tone from the P-J bass pick-up configuration and strings are pretty new as well . Reason for selling is that I play Precisions , well for the last 28 years or so and I bought the Warwick to help with an Audition as I knew the Guitarist loved Warwick's ( very silly , I know ) I also need the money to pay off my credit card bill for the purchase of a Custom Shop 51' Precision ( yup , the Granddaddy of all basses ) I have been playing and collecting guitars for 28 years and I always try to buy the best examples of particular guitars that I can , I will possibly consider a trade if it is Fender and old and interesting . I have had 3 independent valuations from shops , and I and asking below all three valuations . Many thanks for looking . 04/08/10 Photo of serial # added as per request 08/08/10 Hi guys - Warwick now sold .
13.
Sent PM.
Hi there , It would be really helpful if we can meet in Lym'ton . I work on saturdays and I am gigging Sat night ( it's the start of Cowes Week so things will be a little crazy over here.) I can come over Sunday /Monday and meet up . I am happy to go ahead with the deal , do you need a deposit or will you hold the cab for me for the 2 weeks ? . Many Thanks , Martin.
14. Hi there, I am really interested in the NY Cab and I'm happy with the price . I live on the Isle of Wight so getting up to London can be a bit of a performance . Do you ever venture to the south , ie Portsmouth or Southampton area? If not I can meet in Central London - done quite a few deals in Waterloo station in the past. Many thanks Martin.
