  1. I currently use an affinity precision which has a thinner lighter body and that doesn’t have neck dive. The mim ones I’ve had didn’t either . As said above it could possibly be the tuners if they are a chunkier heavier brand
  2. bought a SD quarter pounder to stick in my affinity precision about 3 months Wouldn't be without my Hartke LH500. lovely crystal clear tone
  3. there was a lot at steak with that solo
  4. you don't fancy swapping wives do you ? mines moaning because I want to get a cv squire for around £200
  5. Evening all im writing this on a rubbish phone so can’t search if there is a similar thread already or if in wrong place so apologies . i have a squier affinity with a SD qtr pounder which I love and is set up in drop d for my band. i could possibly be starting a new Project which be in drop c, is it going to bugger the bass changing tunings constantly during the week with 2 rehearsals in different tunings and learning new parts etc in no financial position to buy another bass so that isn’t an option unfortunately cheers
  6. i need to have a plan like some of these going forward. I only play when I have stuff to learn song wise or have a gig coming.
  7. I suppose it will have to be an option I finish work at 4 so 6-9 would be better then 7-10
  8. thanks for the replies guys. I think the main issue is the time . by the time I get home its gone midnight and even though I could enjoy the music and company I just dread it as I know im gonna be a cranky sod the next day
  9. Morning, What would you call a reasonable amount of time to travel to rehearsals ? at the age of 39 im getting bored of trapsing across London for 1hr+ each way and getting in at gone midnight. Ive triewd to find something where I am in south London but all musical projects seem to be either far north or west London. Its grates me a bit as well when everyone else lives 10 minutes walk away and I have to get 2 tubes and a train. Am I being unreasonable or am I being a miserable git
  10. I think id rather pass my 135 b-string down my urethra
  11. Saw ghost the Albert hall on the 9th. sound was pretty dire and the bass was pretty non existent from my seat shame really as the show itself was mesmerising
  12. Can’t recommend the below enough guy Marino enough.great service for anyone in the south London area. crystal palace/upper Norwood based
  13. Anyone going to see ghost tonight at the Albert hall tonight ? If their bass tone is still as colossal as this, I may need to take an extra pair of pants
