  1. As the great man in my avatar once said "if you think you're too old for rock and roll, then you probably are" I turned 39 Sunday and have noticed the last year or so im having more and more trouble finding a rock/metal band due to my age. I have had a few replies saying im to old (which im obviously not) but I can understand it if the band are in their early 20s.itll get worse next year when im 40 and everyone thinks you are a dressing gown moaning about the weather. I have no intentions of stopping playing the music I love but I find it worrying that bands are dismissive straight off the bat just because of a number What do you guys think ?

  6. defo never the st moritz club. as has been mentioned, an absolute dive, not advertised anything. we was told well be on at 930 and had 10 mates coming to see us so they turned up at 915 as another band is setting up. I say to soundguy "whats going on" his reply was "oh weve slotted in another band last minute, your on at 1030 now". he then had the cheek to cut our set early as he said we ran over time

  16. morning All I placed a SD3 quarter pounder in my precision infinity yesterday and they really were a tight squeeze through the pickguard. Now when I adjust the screws there are no movement in the pickups which means they are quite low and have hardly any output. is there an easy way to rectify this without paying a luthier to mess with the pickguard. thanks all
  17. planet waves do loads of nice thick padded straps
  18. I have a hartke lh500 which has the usual 3 nobs bass, teble, mids and I use a Ibanez sr500 which has the same active pre-amp nobs. so in essence I have 2 eqs. As MrDavethe bass said you can change eq mid song if needed. it took me a while to fathom that out
