evening all........received my 2 new cabs (thanks to nigeh who delivered great top guy).....I now have a gallien Krueger 1x15 and a 4x10....im just a bit stuck on which head to go for....I play mostly metal so need something that's got good overdrive/distortion my budget is around 300 quid.......thanks in advance

^thanks for that......im leaning towards the rb9 because the reviews say its 300 watts and plenty loud. plus on gak at the mo the head head a 4x10 cab and ext lead all for 449 quid I don't think that's to bad

evening one and all..... ive recently joined a new metal band in the vein of pantera/lamb of god et ,they have been gigging for ages where as im in the market for my first cab/head. I just don't know how much power ill need its only a pub club band, Camden underworld at most.i have been looking at a few 4x10 cabs and heads the laney rb410 cab and the laney rb9 head (for budget reasons) just wondered if this would be enough........any advice is as always greatly appreciated....ta

the one thing I have now in my new band that had been missing from others is that fun aspect. its like a pantera home video crossed with family guys. apart from writing music if you click and have fun with the other guys its priceless

to say it was epic was an understatement. got to the studios around an hour early popped in the pub next door had a couple of pints to steady the nerves.went into the room met the band and the first thing they did was hand me a beer(great start).talked over the audition stuff explained apart from a few notes had the songs 99% down.blitzed throught them and nailed them pretty well (beer number 2) had a great laugh really felt all on the same wavelength.even tried some new stuff they have been working on which was great (beer 3) then left and went to the pub (more beers)missed the last train from Brixton and got in just before 2am.......got a text from the guitarist today saying hes gonna send me some stuff to work on for next rehearsals,so alls looking good.i might of even cracked a smile if I didn't have a pounding hangover

so after having 2 disasters leaving my last 2 bands and not picking up my bass for 3 months,ive decided to try out for another band tomorrow night.after a friend having my bass on loan till last night and the band only sending me some songs yesterday ive only been able to learn one song for the try out .funny thing is I feel quite confident.because Ive not been playing ive not geared myself up for failure..fingers crossed I wont make a total twat of myself
