    Hey guys I'm in a doom band and we tune drop c so strings are c,g,c,f We play a lot of notes up by the 10th and 12th frets. When I use a five I tune the b up to c and the rest is in standard My question is,to my ears the c sounds better on an e string tuned standard on the 8th fret rather then detuned to c on the 12th. It's the same over the neck really Is this because the notes sound better with strings that have more tension ie more clarity Thoughts ? Sorry to ramble

    I'm selling my 60th anni precision as I have small hands and just can't get in with it. Still in great condition still has film on pick guard no buckle rash no dents.have upgraded the bridge to a gotoh for more sustain.     evening one and all.....a long story short ive only ever really played metal end of. so to broaden my horizons im gonna audition for a rock covers band.ive learnt a couple of the songs YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG and THE PRETENDER by the foos, and im loving it I thought it wouldn't be my thing but im really enjoying the change.....just thought id share

    hi guys just after a bit of advice . All the years I have been playing I have always used a pick. long story short a lot of things I play I think id find easy playing with my fingers. do you think its worth my persevering are there more pros then cons etc...........thanks
