  1. Hi all For anyone interested, I’ve been breaking down some of Mick Karn’s bass lines note-for-note. I plan to get to them all, but so far, it’s mostly Japan era stuff. I take the time and research them to be as accurate as possible. I hope they’re of use to some of you. Cheers!
  2. Mine, which I've just reacquired, had the made in japan sticker and a serial of 27019 both on the cavity cover and in the vaity itself. Any idea of age, in the end? Sorry to resurrect a thread!
  3. Yeah I’ve two of them never noticed the intonation being terribly out theyre punchy and ballsy i never use the piezo
  4. I bought one and measured it for anyone who wants to drop an MM style pickup into their short or medium scale bass. 34 scale length pickup placement is 79 cm from the nut to the pickup centre line 30" scale length pickup placement is 69 cm from the nut to the pickup centre line The ratio is roughly 1.1:1, so if you're doing a 32" scale, it would be 73.8 cm from the nut to the pickup centre line
  5. Mickah me aul segotia, that is a beautiful thing. Hope it shifts for ya.
  6. I have worked that out, and I just want to see if that's what they did, or is it in a different place.
  7. Hi folks Can anyone with a short scale stingray tell me the distance from the nut to the centreline of the pickup, please? It's 79cm on a 34" scale Stingray for reference. Thank you
