It's really honeyburst. People confuse it with the lighter 'cherryburst'. How I am do certain? I've owned a Musicman Sterling in the exact same colors. The borders of the instrument tend to be brownish, instead of red.

The color is actually called 'honeyburst'

Thanks Jono. It is indeed a fantastic looking bass. It's just that the sound is not my cup of tea. Always had active (musicman style) basses and this is a little different. Trading for a electric drumkit is also possible btw (Roland only)!
