  1. I’m a little concerned at the design choice of the rubber foot of this mobile stage platform!
  2. The one hanging here in G4M is beautiful. Sadly there was a strict two items only testing so I didn’t get to play it.
  3. Yes, you could save a scene with all pedals bypassed. Or program a button then sends the disengage command on all connected channels, which means you could bypass all pedals in any scene.
  4. I saw these in the flesh today and this is the first blue bass I’ve ever been wowed by. Such a shame the P is in maple only (the jazz is in rosewood only and looks lovely). I love the sound of rosewood. Seriously still tempted by this though.
  5. Have you seen the new firmware/editor update that launched this week?
  6. The C4 presets load in whatever engage/bypass state is stored in the preset. If you want to load them bypassed when using PC messages then you will need to edit and resave the presets with the state-upon-load button set to “bypass”. This is one area where using the Hub is good as there are separate CCs for “load engaged” and “load bypassed”.
  7. The gap in this particular area has now closed significantly with the release of FI v3.60 which adds much improved patch management and embedded access to the presets in the cloud. It’s still not as slick as the SA cloud platform but is way better than it was.
  8. Copied from @Andras Szalay's Talkbass post: Dear Friends, over the past several months we have been hard at work on some fantastic new features for the Future Impact. While there is not much more to do on the FI itself due to lack of further processor resources (although future surprises can still happen), Zsolt Rammer and Peter Kenney made a wonderful work on extending the Editor with amazing new features, and update the documentation. We are proud to present these to you now in v3.60. The features are all contained within a new subsection of the Editor Suite: The Manager This powerful new tool has been created in order to simplify patch management on the FI, which is something that FI users have been requesting for a very long time. It is designed to be easy to use and utilizes an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. With the Manager you can now quickly and easily do the following actions, all directly within the Editor Suite: ● Display and rearrange the patches currently stored on your pedal; ● Add or remove individual patches; ● Rename patches and change their category; ● Create copies of patches; ● Browse, audition and edit patches stored on your computer; ● Browse, audition and download patches uploaded to the FI Online Program Database; ● Upload your own patches to the online database. One small feature has been added to the Editor: it is now possible to set the MIDI channel that the onscreen keyboard outputs on. This means it can still trigger notes when the FI’s MIDI channel is set to something other than ALL or 1. As part of this release, a lot of work has also been put into overhauling the FI’s user manual; as a result, the document is now even clearer and easier to use. The main changes are as follows: ● There is a new section devoted to the new Manager function and the section on the Editor has now been restructured to incorporate this; ● Duplicated and unnecessary technical information has been removed; ● Some parameter descriptions have been rewritten as the previous versions were too unclear - some of these were as a result of user feedback; ● The order of certain sections has been rearranged; ● The quick-start guide has been rewritten to include useful information that was previously located in the main manual; ● There are now dedicated sections covering firmware updates, the instrument modes and resetting parameters; ● All the MIDI functions have been grouped together and discussed in a dedicated section; ● The screenshots of the Flexi pop-up windows and alternative Editor skin have been moved out of the appendix and now appear in the relevant sections of the main text; ● The FAQ section has been updated with further questions we have received; ● The table of contents now has links to items that were previously more difficult to locate. We hope that you’ll find the new features useful and fun to use. Please do read the manual in order to learn how to get the best out of them. Andras Szalay
  9. Is this also a band pass filter?
  10. That’s mostly what I do but I do like the sound with some dry blended in too.
  11. Have you posted on the build progress thread? Jon does all my luthier work (and he’s local to me) but I’ve never actually played one of his basses yet.
  12. I’m still contemplating getting Jon to build me a nice P but I need to settle on the right neck/nut-width specs first.
  13. I’d love this, @ash, but despite my keen pricing, my Lakland isn’t shifting.
  14. Nope, like unicorn tears, I’m afraid. It seems to be a mixture of component shortages and personal problems. I ordered one in December and cancelled my order last week as it doesn’t look like there’ll be stock any time soon. @knicknack has a similar tale. I’m using an MXR Vintage Bass Octave which is great, but I really want the Octabvre for the dry kill switch.
  15. @andybassdoyle, @GisserD this would be cool with the Glou-Glou stuff.
  16. The UW far exhausts the capability of what information the hub can store so only stores a small set of parameters. As a compromise, the Hub scene saving can be used to directly recall UW presets (this is the first pedal where this is possible). I haven’t yet used the Hub to edit the UW - I have only ever plugged that in directly.
