Is your gripe the cost or the number of pieces of equipment? An upgraded version that doesn’t require additional hardware would still cost as much as a C4 plus small controller.
No reason why you shouldn’t be able to do this, though the upper two notes will have to be synth notes as opposed to pitch-shifted copies of the original signal.
You can navigate to the preset you want in the app (so can see its name) before you start editing (under burn or browse (can’t remember off the top of my head).
Shops need to make money. I’ve never found it particularly overpriced. Been shopping there for years and picked up some lovely stuff. All really good people working there so happy to pay a bit more to help keep them open. Their used prices are pretty spot on; the values they’ve quoted that they’d sell for when I’ve inquired about selling stuff to them have been mostly borne out by what I’ve sold them for privately.
That’s a shame. He’s a great bloke and it’s nice to see the person who made your instrument and the environment it was made in. It’s a very pretty part of the world too.

It is. The ultra has a badass-style bridge, a shiny logo and got rid of the spoke-wheel truss adjustment with the cutaway in the fingerboard, among other changes.
