  1. This looks like a great bass for very little money. Lovely seller too.
  2. Offering up a nicely broken-in set of GHS Precision flats in 45-105 gauge, cut for a standard Fender Precision/Jazz. (There’s plenty of extra winding left on the A string so that you can force the break angle lower to eliminate the common buzzy Fender A string behind the nut.) Price includes UK postage.
  3. I’d recommend the FI - there’s more good stuff coming.
  4. 🤮 That hurts my head. I used to get annoyed catching my hand on the audio cable on my Rhodes. This is my idea of hell. I’m glad, as I’d probably spend a fortune on modular if I ever got into it. Happy to never go near it.
  5. Also pretty tempted by this.
  6. Well, no, but spaghetti and lack of presets are a turn-off for me (in most cases; I make an exception for the Model D, Odyssey and such).
  7. Please don’t tempt fate, I still haven’t opened a synth I bought from them in January and dread to think the nightmare of having to deal with a post-Brexit return. I actually saved £1400 by buying from them so there are definitely some positives.
  8. I’d be asking myself what it is about the Sub Phatty that you find lacking and go from there. (For me it’d be the small number of presets, short keyboard and the fact that lots of hidden options are only accessible via convoluted multi-button presses. Subsequent has almost all of its info accessible from the panel, and the menus, when needed, aren’t too deep.) Can’t fault the sound of the Sub Phatty - its beastly.
  9. They can be found cheaper. You can still get the MB with the dedicated hard case for £1579: https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/synthesizer/arturia-matrixbrute-synthesizer-flight-case Bax has some UK premises so VAT is paid at point of sale.
  10. There have been occasional problems with PMs getting delivered to recipients so it may not be their fault. (Though you ought to be able see if it’s been read.)
  11. Indeed; their new Polybrute is pretty impressive.
  12. Subsequent is pretty nice, it was the best of what was available at the time for the money I had. (I did briefly have a Pro 2, which was great but the keybed was weak and the knobs went über-wobbly after just two weeks.) The Pro 3 is lovely and offers quite a lot more, whilst still being pretty much knob-per-function. Matrixbrute is also worth a look.
  13. Of those two, I’d probably go for the Subsequent, partly as I dislike the idea of messy patch cabling but also because presets are handy for saving creations.
  14. Take a hard look at the Sequential Pro3 before making your final choice. It has 3 filters, one of which is a Moog-type ladder filter (with the added option of resonance compensation so bass isn’t lost as resonance is increased). The Pro 3 keyboard is much better, sequencer is more powerful, it has more capable and modulation routing and has lovely built-in effects. They’re roughly the same price.
  15. Exactly. You might as well put hub and C4 on the same channel though. That’s what I do.
  16. Unless the Boss has USB host capability, you will need the Hub. you’d go ES-5 MIDI out>Hub MIDI in and Hub MIDI out>Adam MIDI in (unless the Adam also has a MIDI out, in which case you could swap the order of hub and Adam).
  17. Great minds… I posted a similar thing (was toying between pocket and pocketful) and then read back through the previous replies. 😆
  18. You may wish to correct the spelling in the title otherwise anyone using the search function may not find it.
  19. I’ve uploaded the patch from the comparison. I’ve also shared this one: https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/A65n9UhQrzCWaL1f7
