  1. Nope, I had similar issues with two sets of 760FS. (Have read of a few other users who did too.) The replacements that Labella sent also had the same problem. Made my basses sound like a sitar on the D and G. The strings were kinked from new which is probably what caused the buzzing. I surmised that someone packing them has been bending them too much. Tried the same strings on three different basses and the problem was there. As soon as I put on a different string brand, the problem went away. (I’ve had a few used sets of Labellas that played just fine but some of the new sets I’ve had had this issue to some degree.) It’s a bummer as I really love the sound and feel of them. (GHS Precision flats don’t sound the same by the way, at least not to my ear. I have them on two of my basses currently.)
  2. Download the EP (envelope phaser) patches that one user painstakingly recreated from his Pigtronix pedal. https://neuro.sourceaudio.net/?search=Pigtronix
  3. The FI is the one pedal I know I’ll never sell.
  4. Yeah, I’ll probably regret it but I feel I need to declutter my brain.
  5. Through a buying mishap I ended up with two copies of volume one of this out-of-print set. These recordings are currently going for silly money on eBay (up to £80) but I’d like to simply let someone who loves the music get hold of a copy at a more reasonable price. There are a few surface marks but the discs play perfectly. The flip-out hinge of the case is broken but can easily be replaced with another. Actual postage to be added.
  6. I’m thinking of letting this trusty piece of gear go. This does great octave and fuzz sounds for synth-type stuff. There are actually four sound sources: dry, octave down, fuzz octave down and Octavia-style gated fuzz. The two fuzzes are on the right channel, the octave is parallel on the left channel. The dry is applied to both channels. In excellent condition, only played at home. No original box, I’m afraid but it will be well packed in a sturdy replacement box. @lee650 will probably curse me now.
  7. I sold Chris some strings this week. All details and payment were sorted quickly. An easy transaction. Many thanks.
  8. Let me offer you a warm welcome then, hopefully you'll find this is a friendly place. Thanks for your kind words; I’m glad you you’re enjoying the patches. It’s always nice to hear that people are using them.
  9. Hi Nick, I know there’s no difference other than the sticker. That info is in the first post of this thread and also in the FAQ section of the FI user manual (which I wrote). As I said, I worked on the v3 (and v3.5) update with Panda (and had a vote in choosing the new decal) so just fancied having a v3 unit as a sort of memento. As it happens I’ve just got a v3 unit now as my original one was on the blink and I needed a reliable unit for testing purposes. The whole idea behind v3 was that it would be a free update that all FI users would have access to. I hope you’re enjoying all the cool new features.
  10. Got a set of these going spare. They were new on a build I had made (I’d asked for the FL set but they mistakenly put these on). They are cut for a standard 34”scale precision-style bass. That haven’t had loads of time on them but are just starting to get nicely broken in. Price includes UK postage.
  11. Postage with hard case now offered - see amended initial post. @dub_junkie, @DaveNorman
  12. You’d need to ask Janek - he loaned Dunlop his OC-2 while they did the development work. My guess is they studied the components and did oscilloscope tests to compare the sounds. I wouldn’t always trust a company to know their own products - Selmer famously lost the blueprints to their beloved Mark VI saxes so that when they made the Reference series in the 2000s they had to track down good examples and reverse engineer the shape and metallurgy!
  13. The MXR vintage bass octave is closer as it’s a direct clone of Janek Gwizdala’s OC-2.
  14. I’ve had mine in order from BD since December. Yes, the MKII has one and I used to own one; sold it a while back (and regret it) when trying to be sensible about the number of octave pedals I needed. I’m happy to have it in a smaller box in the MKIII and it purportedly has slightly improved tracking (we'll see, if it ever materialises). Unless I’m being unusually dense today, I can’t think how the LS-2 would allow you to go from dry+wet to wet-only using the stomp switch - you’d have to go from A to A+B mix, which would require bending down to turn the knob to the new position. You could potentially do it with the OC-5 and LS-2 as follows (provided the OC-5 dry out jack is independent of the direct volume knob - is it?): Plug OC-5 output into LS-2 input. Set OC-5 to -1 octave only. Plug OC-5 dry output into LS-2 A return and set it to A+B mix. What should happen is that when the LS-2 is bypassed, you get the OC-5 wet only (provided it is engaged). When engaging the LS-2, you should get OC-5 wet from the input (this happens if nothing is plugged into B) and dry signal from the A. (You might need to plug a dummy jack into the A send as I can’t remember if it is the send or the return which has the switch in it.)
  15. If it weren’t for the fact I want a dry kill switch, I’d probably cancel my Octabvre MKIII order and just get this. (I might get one anyway.) @Al Krow what did you pay for yours?
  16. When you say Jazz profile, is that just the nut width or is it thin front-to-back like a Jazz? (Contrast with the Lakland 44-64 where the “jazz taper” refers only to the 1.5” nut width and the rest of the neck dimensions are the same as the 1.625” and 1.75” variations.) I assume this is a 10” fingerboard radius as limelight quoted me when I looked into a similar spec.
  17. These are great pedals and Lee is a solid seller.
  18. I think I remember reading in the marketing bumpf that it did indeed utilise the SY-1 tracking circuit.
  19. @Deedee, I think you’re fairly local to me (I’m in Sheffield.) I have two bass boxes for shipping if you want one. One of them was actually for a Stingray case I bought.
