For anyone interested in this, replacement Stingray mute pads are available from Strings Direct, part number M05113 (for the four-string set) for £3.49 plus postage. It’s not listed on their website so you’ll need to email them. They also have the entire assembly with the springs and screws, which is listed on their site: https://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/search/stingray-mute Enjoying the old school vibe now:

Do have a read of the FAQ section of the online v3 manual first. I detailed the process pretty clearly there. You can download all the patches I’ve shared so far here: https://auraplug.com/fidatabase2/downloads/quatschmachers-collected-free-v3-patches-rev-2020-10-05/ Won’t be able to load them all on as I think there are more than 99. I suggest auditioning them first once you get the pedal, which you can do via the editor (it loads a single one into the edit buffer). Once you’ve decided which 99 you want to burn to pedal, that’s where the process is slightly convoluted. If my description in the manual doesn’t clear things up for you, I’d be happy to guide you through.

No video tutorials as yet, I’m afraid, as I’ve been unable to get together with @GisserD to record our planned session. I could potentially talk people through via video chat though.

No sound card is necessary. All sounds are generated on the pedal - the editor simply sets the parameters of the pedal. Buy a Roland UM-One MK2 to connect the pedal to your computer and save yourself the headache. Pedal works just fine on a pedalboard with other pedals. Ideally you need to feed it a clean bass signal (post-EQ, post-compression works fine).

You could use the onboard EQ or an external EQ to help.
-
You could hook the pedal up to audacity or any other program with a dB readout, choose a desired dB level and resave patches with the adjusted main volume slider in the editor and rewrite the files to the pedal.

Just received a fender hard case that I bought from David. Absolutely top job on the packing so that it arrived safely. Quick turnaround, prompt and friendly communication. I’d have no hesitation in dealing with David again. Many thanks!

Glad it was useful, it really is an awesome resource and fun. Envelopes on C4 are not true ADSR, rather a set of pre-defined shapes where you can alter either the attack, the decay or both via the envelope speed knob. The sensitivity knob adjusts how much envelope depth reacts to playing dynamics. The filter depth knob controls how much the cutoff is affected by the corresponding envelope. Frequency moves the starting cutoff value.

Are you familiar with synthesis to any degree already? If not, check out the following link and it should make the editor make more sense. https://learningsynths.ableton.com Glad you’re enjoying the patches. Check out the Spectrum patches too as they work on C4. Also, remember to adjust the input knob on any user patches you click on to set the correct level for your bass; the manual tells you how to do this properly.

Start by browsing the user patches. Remember to readjust the input knob and volume knob for each one before you assess its suitability. (See the manual to see how to set the input level correctly.) I posted some Filter Twin patches already you can search and filter by keyword, pedal type and user so you should be able to find them. Search for C4 (with compatibility box ticked), my username and keyword “twins”. As regards learning, I put together a patch which is set up to help users explore the features. In the patch’s description the is a link to a post on Talkbass where I wrote a mini-tutorial. I’d suggest looking through that. ( @dodge_bass, it might be worth your while too.) I can’t remember what I called the patch but it will be obvious when you see it. I’ll have a look and amend here and link to it.
