  1. Jeff bought some strings off me at the weekend. Fast payment, polite and prompt communication. No problems at all. Many thanks!
  2. Is that a Synth Voice Deluxe next to it?
  3. Translation - “I’ll take them and will PM you”. Marking them as sold would be my remit once I’ve received payment. 😁
  4. Talk to Tom George of Cog Effects.
  5. Here's an old line I originally did with a Wonderlove, Octabvre and Doom, here done on a Chromatron and Okto Nøjs: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G2cfFJRPGERFDJApClqAmblohX3ac7aN/view?usp=drivesdk Here’s the Chromatron alone: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_0sHhk2uwOFXj1smhj3IRHGyjnt73fzE/view?usp=drivesdk
  6. A Talkbass member has kindly lent me his 3 LEAF AUDIO Chromatron. Been wanting to try one for ages as I used to own a Wonderlove and it was great for putting octave and fuzz in the loop to create synth-like sounds. The Chromatron is even better I feel, as it works much better as a stand-alone envelope-controlled filter than the Wonderlove did. I put my EMMA electronic Okto Nøjs in the loop and dialled in the following sound: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G2cfFJRPGERFDJApClqAmblohX3ac7aN/view?usp=drivesdk The owner asked if I could replicate this on the Source Audio C4. I’ve had a crack and got in the ballpark and have shared the presets on my Neuro feed: https://neuro.sourceaudio.net/user/quatschmacher Hope you enjoy them. I’ll port these onto the Spectrum too, though they won’t be exactly the same. The octave distortions in the Okto Nøjs are slightly gated and I have achieved this on the C4 by assigning an amp envelope to those voices and using the envelope’s gate control; the Spectrum doesn’t have the ability to assign an envelope to the voices so the patches will be a little noisier.

  8. The SA one is easy to use too and really powerful but the boss does have the advantage of dedicated individual sliders.
  9. Who was it who was looking for a 1590a envelope filter?
  10. Yes, look at the controls in the screenshot, it’s already got more features than the original. The latest releases which built on earlier pedals (EQ2, Spectrum/C4, Ventris) have all been huge improvements compared to their predecessors. I’m hoping I’ll be asked to beta test this one too.
  11. These were fitted to a bass just before I bought it and so have only had a hour or so of play on them so sound like new still. Cut for a Stingray. Free UK postage.
  12. Looks the my planned FI video is postponed again due to quarantining restrictions. 😞
  13. York isn’t far from Sheffield or I’m happy to assist via video chat.
  14. Check if the VB99 outputs MIDI note data after it performs pitch-to-MIDI conversion; if so, those data could be used to drive the FI too. You’d the. Be able to access portamento which is not available when triggering from a bass.
  15. Your VBass has an expression input at the back so should be able to send something out to the FI. You might even be able to send CC1 out from your ribbon controller too.
  16. Needs to connect via the MIDI port so requires something in between. You can even do it with a tablet/smartphone in conjunction with the Roland interface.
  17. That’s what the two horizontal lines are for in the pedal’s display. They indicate a connection.
  18. Does your Roland have an expression input? If so, you can probably output that on its MIDI out into the FI. Or if you’re always going to be using the editor, hook up something via the editor’s “keyboard input device” slot that has a mod wheel/strip and it will play through the editor.
  19. Glad to hear it. Make sure you have some way of sending CC1 with an expression pedal to get the best out of it. I’d guess your Roland unit should be able to do that There’s a non-v3 pack of my sounds too nearer the end of the list.
  20. You can store files wherever you like. (A problem sometimes occurs if you move the location of the last opened patch; when opening the editor, it loads the last used patch and if it isn’t in the location it looks on, it has a paddy.)
