  1. Yes, they stock some pretty decent synth stuff. They were listed as official dealers on some synth companies’ websites so assumed they were legit but I’ve never bought from them so far.
  2. And my Skyline is lovely. Honestly, there are some great cheap basses out there and some expensive dogs. The Sterling by Musicman stuff is pretty decent quality.
  3. Yep, and due to Corona I still haven’t managed to get out to Jon Shuker to pick it up. It’s been quite an ordeal (time wise, that is; Lakland were very commendable in footing all costs involved in rectifying the issue). Just hope it’s working now. Correct; the Skylines are built in Indonesia but go back to the US before hitting retailers.
  4. It’s only on the dry bass signal. It is adjustable between two fixed frequencies and the amount of boost is also adjustable via a switch and trimpot inside.
  5. Thanks. I’m guessing it’s probably normal.
  6. @knicknack, could you possibly check something for me. On your MXR VBO, if, while the pedal is engaged, you press the mid switch down quite slowly until it engages, does the main LED cut out briefly?
  7. The mini is slightly tweaked from the MKII. Says as much in the advertising and I had the two side by side at one point and there is a difference. The mini got grittier at the clockwise end of the tone knob. Still waiting for my III to arrive.

  9. There’s also this: https://www.nemphasis.com/en/prodotti/pb-8-foot-controller.html
  10. No, it’s something which looks almost identical to the ES8. might have been this http://www.musicomlab.com/efx-le.htm
  11. The main thing which lets it down is the preset management. (Can’t fault the synth functionality at all, which is way beyond anything else in certain aspects.) After the next update, I will be pushing to get stuff added to the editor which makes the patch management easier. In fact I already have been and others involved have also expressed that it is necessary. Perhaps once no more updates to the device are possible they may be able to focus their attention more closely on the editor side of things. What was it you struggled with? Now you’re more familiar with the C4, the FI will probably make more sense to you.
  12. There is another company that does a very similar thing to the ES-8 but can’t remember the name right now.
  13. Or the Future Impact, which is about to get yet another brilliant upgrade.
  14. Check out the Morningstar ML5. About £120 used.
  15. It’s a very good one, one of my favourites and one I rebought. @lee650 is selling one right now too. Bootstrap loves this one and even called MXR and asked them to send one to Nik West! This is using it: https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/9aSWECbGKBnwFijw6

  17. There’s new v3.8 firmware due soon for the MC6 which adds a tonne of great new features, including the ability to turn the expression ports into TRS MIDI ports! (One reason I sold the MC6 and bought the MC8 was because I needed a TRS MIDI port.) In fact you can already download the latest beta version. These things keep going from strength to strength.
  18. Anyone need one?

I hadn’t noticed the mini pedals’ decal types (only a couple a white large-format pedals). I certainly didn’t read any bashing into your post. I’ve not played the module stuff, just the Minitaur, Sirin, Subsequent and Model D. I really wished they had made more of the D. When a couple came up, I needed cash for a house move. Now I could get one they are pretty difficult to find and people are charging silly money for them.

You mean the ‘Foogers? They did a version with Bob Moog’s signature for a bit, might have been when they did the Sub37 tribute too. And what synths! The Moog One is incredible.

Not necessarily. Their Model D reissue far surpassed their expectations and exhausted their stocks within a year. They could have easily sold loads more of them but chose not to do a second run.
  22. Where is this spreadsheet? I'd certainly love to copy the settings from my favourite Spectracomp preset.
  23. Bought this to go with the MC6 but between my ordering it and its arriving Morningstar had released the MC8 and I’d bought that and found I no longer needed the extra switches. Via the controller, this can be used as three extra presets per bank or as a “fixed switch” to toggle page and bank up/down. This is brand new, only having been plugged in to test it and then put away. Seems daft to have it sitting unused. Get it without the wait times to get one built. Actual postage costs to be added which will be under a fiver for the UK.
