  1. Could anyone tell me what available boards would fit the above collection in its shown setup (including the big gap for the MC8)?
  2. MIDI is done via their Hub. Tap tempo can be had by plugging into the external control port or via a controller plugged into the hub. I agree about the editor jumping back to the top, I keep forgetting to mention this. Even a sustain stage control would be a huge improvement. I’ve already outlined a way in which ADSR could be implemented without altering or losing any current functionality but I guess it depends on how much code space it would take as it’s pretty close to full already.
  3. Nope, no option to set envelope by sequence steps unless you hook up to an external sequencer and send MIDI CC messages on those steps. You’ve discovered my gripe with the ADSR. It’s so limited, not even having individual control over the attack and decay. Do me a favour and badger Source Audio about adding full ADSR. I guess the more people that request it, the more likely it will be to happen. It’s what I did with the Future Impact and eventually Andras did it and the FI is now even more amazing.
  4. There’s a pretty cool cello patch in the Future Impact v3 factory soundset. Check this demo:
  5. Price has dropped to €299 again: http://pandamidi.com/store/future-impact-i-bass-guitar-synth
  6. If you’re going down the synth bass route, do yourself a favour and check out the Future Impact too. There’s one up for sale here at present too or you could buy a new one for about the same price: http://pandamidi.com/store/future-impact-i-bass-guitar-synth
  7. I’ve created a C4 preset which allows me to have just the contents of its loop be active. It can be found here: https://neuro.sourceaudio.net/preset/7GVB1SSDo3
  8. Yes, I do need to get a board and it would make the cabling neater to free a bit of space. I might go with the compact FI at some point but am quite fond of the case as it is.
  9. This has seen many incarnations over the years but I feel I’m getting close to a final form (haha, right!). The gap is just about big enough for my Morningstar MC8 controller to go. I might have to finally buy a pedalboard now. For anyone interested the chain order is as follows: Future Impact > C4> Mu-Tron > Enigma > Wombtone MKII > Sentry The C4 has the LS-2 > Lunar in its loop. The LS-2 has the Okto-Nøjs > MXR Vintage Bass Octave in loop A and the Mastotron in loop B. I’ve created a C4 preset which allows me to have just the contents of its loop be active. It can be found here: https://neuro.sourceaudio.net/preset/7GVB1SSDo3
  10. For a split second I thought this was my old one that I was forced to sell last year. Had it been, I’d have bought it back as I miss it. These are brilliant basses.
  11. Glad to hear it. Do check out the examples in the manual too; I wrote a whole section on using the FI to replace single effects stomp boxes and a section on how to create your own sounds from scratch.
  12. I heartily recommend reading the manual as there’s loads of good stuff in there and there are probably features you didn’t even know existed.
  13. @andyowenuk I’ve PMd you. Basically you need to either perform a “reset all” or set the “tune base” manually. Both of these are done via the boot menu. Read the section called “editing the configuration parameters” on pages 13-14 of the manual. Click the link below:
  14. @hiram.k.hackenbacker looks like the seller is willing to split so you could buy his UM-One cable cheaper than new.
  15. @bubinga5, can’t remember if you were still after (another) one of these.
  16. Oh cool, what options did he offer? When is yours due to be completed? Maybe we could meet up to make a comparison sometime.
  17. Not sure about the bridge choices, they need graphtech saddles. Might be possible to fit these to an existing bridge. The open strings thing is only an issue if you want to layer the bass sound with the midi sound and play at the bottom. Otherwise for just midi you can pitch everything down an octave and play an octave higher.
  18. Or a boss LS-2 with one bass on each of the two inputs and use the pedal’s two channel volume knobs to set the levels.
  19. As I said in the other thread, Frettrax will retrofit to your bass of choice and their stock MIDI basses are a completely different design.
  20. Yes. I asked a while back and he said no, but I notice that the it is an option on the guitar to have whatever headstock shape you like so maybe he’s budged on this now.
  21. Yes, I was also in contact with Rob about his version and was considering that too. What swayed me were a few things: IR is much longer established and further down the road with development. Steve Chick invented this technology. IR now have P and PJ models and a PJ is the best fit for the normal bass sounds I use. I’ve also had chance to play an IR bass so know the quality is good. There isn’t any way to try an ROR bass before buying. I quite like the fact it’ll look like a normal bass. I really didn’t like the headstock of the ROR one. However it definitely had some things going for it such as the ability to plug and play and the joystick and pitch shift buttons on the body. If I’m feeling super-flush, I might buy an ROR one too.
