As I can’t get to making a video until I can meet up with @GisserD I have offered to talk through the editor via video call. Either via WhatsApp and/or team share.

Yes you have missed it. 🙂 I included a tutorial on setting up a basic patch from scratch in the manual (“building your first sound”) as I thought it’d be useful. See the contents menu and click the link. (The manual is embedded in the editor via the “help” tab). There isn’t really a shortcut to learning a complex device like this. If you know a bit about synthesis in general and its nomenclature then learning the FI is much quicker. This is a very useful interactive and fun tool: https://learningsynths.ableton.com

It’s not as daunting as it first appears. Would be good if some others learn how to do it too - it’s a bit lonely being almost the only person writing patches for it and sharing. 😆

Here's something I originally did on my Moog Subsequent 37 but have redone on C4: Patch is here: https://neuro.sourceaudio.net/preset/ZzaOJACaMw

Check out the Chase Bliss Automatone preamp. It’s the Benson preamp with ridiculously cool MIDI controls and motorised faders.

What are you struggling with? Playing it cleanly? Programming it? Transferring patches onto it?

I posted this on the recordings thread but is relevant here. Subsequent 37 on bass:

Moog Subsequent 37 for the bass. Scarbee A200 Wurly (Kontakt). Recorded on Ableton Live Lite 10.

Scarbee’s VSTs are wonderful. I know he does a funk guitarist one.

Here's a little idea I knocked up last night. Guitar and the germ for the Wurly part from my good friend @GisserD

Had another mammoth C4 session this weekend. Loads of new patches uploaded. https://neuro.sourceaudio.net/user/quatschmacher

I've bitten the bullet.

Here's one:

I’ve uploaded a bunch of new patches utilising an idea I had when I woke up. I’ve used run a sequence on the modulator sine wave so that it changes the texture of the carrier signal when holding a note. I’ve also used a few of the drum machine ideas I had on the second processor. I’ll try and get some clips up later; it’ll require some reshuffling as I’ve run out of space on my free Soundcloud account.

The FI can fast scroll by the way: hold the foot switch down. Doing it after a single press moves up, doing it after a double press moves down. Does your new controller allow the sending of MIDI CCs? If so you can have it control PC up/down and bank up/down (among other things).
