  1. I've uploaded both of these for folks to use.
  2. Here's a little experiment with the flexis:
  3. I've already entered the #neurocoverchallenge so this one is just for fun. My take on the classic Bananarama bassline.
  4. A wonderful man and musician whose music really took hold of me in a big way. So sad to hear about this.
  5. Here's a snippet I did the other day but I have replaced the bass with one of my C4 patches: https://neuro.sourceaudio.net/preset/0R5xHPMPbP
  6. Raw oscillator comparison of FI and C4.
  7. Here's a comparison of the raw waveforms of FI and C4. FI is played first in both clips, levels all matched prior to recording. Sounds like Soundcloud has introduced some artefacts even though I uploaded in WAV so here they are uploaded directly to Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Y6oeWA9hHq-AsLRwpDVN1V5vuGNgQVIr https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qicuY9iXxvD_pNvuf3khvR5PFwu0ZFdD
  8. Indeed. Love the envelope display - pretty much like the ones used in DSI/Sequential synths.
  9. I've finally nailed this track! Here is me playing along (my part is panned more to the right, original more to the left): https://drive.google.com/open?id=16RZShslMt6j8oqF66_DTbgzMRIGtxGWJ Here's my bass part in isolation: I've uploaded this tweaked version of my patch to the file share site.
  10. Here’s my entry for the Source Audio Cover Song Challenge. Part played in context: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dt5u-xJGXNTmXBKSkYH7fSTBPm5vTlgV/view?usp=drivesdk Isolated bass part: Patch is here: https://neuro.sourceaudio.net/preset/lw9qJBJFhi #neurocoverchallenge
  11. Here's a patch I "ported" from my Manta - plug octave and fuzz into the C4's loop.
  12. New Here are some attempts at a faux chorus after a question on the Gear Page:
  13. I'm writing a lot of patches and posting, sadly while all Spectrum patches can be loaded onto the C4, the opposite isn't true so they have to be reconstructed and uploaded separately.
  14. It's more of an issue on the C4 when trying to get certain synth sounds. There are still loads of great sounds in there but I'd prefer a bit more (i.e. full) control over the envelope shapes.
  15. That’s not quite the case, attack and decay are not independently configurable; it’s either decay-without-attack, attack-without-decay or both at once, and always within pre-configured ranges. And there’s no configurable filter sustain stage. It’s something I and others hope Source Audio might address in a firmware update at some point as it’d open up so much sonic territory. Without it, there are certain sounds which are impossible to recreate. There’s still much to love though. No argument from me on how awesome this pedal is.
  16. Make sure you use an expression pedal and tweak the two control knobs - there’s loads of variation in them.
  17. Got some new patches up; here's a taste:
  18. Some of those sound massive like they are done on polysynths in unison mode (i.e. multiple voices on one note multiplied by however many oscillators each voice has). I won’t be able to replicate those unless you hook up multiple FIs. You might be able to get a similar effect by running into a quad chorus. Might even be able to use the onboard chorus with both delay lines.
  19. FI, hence why I’m posting in this thread.
  20. It won’t be as fast as some others as I’ve had to map it at actual pitch; I usually pitch down an octave so I can play higher up to get lower latency. In fact, the range played on the record exceeds that of a four-string bass; you’d need a high C string with 24 frets to play the whole thing as recorded. My guess would be that it was done on a Model D and uses the entire 3.5 octave range.
  21. Resonance is pretty low on this, just barely above minimum. I'm not sure what the starting waveforms are on the original. I’ve used a mixture of sawtooth and medium-width pulse as I was hearing some higher harmonics. With at most only 128 steps in the parameters and the fact that these sounds were created on different (and unknown-to-me) synths, it’s only ever going to be an approximation.
  22. And here's Shake Your Body: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oo8CL5lIQe54U_VOTY9aMQjsh8EKxDHi
  23. @Kiwi Here's my stab at Ain’t Nothin’ Goin’ On: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tqlGUvVNU8swNbrjTX8OhzgEtg4eoN35/view?usp=sharing
