  1. Damn, 42mm is too wide for me.
  2. Don’t forget that even if a sound doesn’t sound immediately appealing to you, you can tweak the 9 onboard parameters and in most cases turn it into something you like.
  3. My setup was done by Jon Shuker with the new strings and wouldn't stop. Buzzing stopped as soon as any other strings were fitted so it was definitely a dodgy batch. Please PM me so I can pay.
  4. What is the radius and the nut width, please?
  5. Technically all the ones of mine are Basschat, I suppose.😆 (Incidentally, any other Dutch speakers similarly tickled by “Basschat” when read as a Dutch word?)
  6. I'd like a set of Labella FL please as long as they are cut for a standard precision. Do they have any buzzing problems? (I ask because I had three dodgy sets this year that I bought new.)
  7. Link should be visible in my signature or "about me" info. If not, it's here: http://www.patreon.com/Quatschmacher
  8. A wise move. I look forward to holding you to your Patreon pledge too.😆 Are you buying a new one?
  9. Yep, I have a TC pedal that I'll lose money on if I ever sell it.
  10. I guarantee this will be even more the case now. I'm keen to hear your thoughts when you get round to updating and testing.
  11. Just don't go selling yours yet again!
  12. Yep, and with the funky new makeover. I did do my best to promote the two used ones that are currently in the classifieds before the product launch but I fear the sellers will have to take a hit now. The FI gets the synth sounds I love easily. The C4 struggles due to less capable envelope implementation though does respond to MIDI clock and has plenty of other great features not possible in the FI. I'm hoping that we can get MIDI clock and some other goodies into FI v3.1 when the time comes.
  13. A good idea to get one now. The v3 firmware was released last night and new units are selling for an introductory €299 until the end of the year which may mean you can bargain on a used one if you can't afford a new one. http://pandamidi.com/bass-guitar-synth I've uploaded all my old v2 patches to the new online program database.
  14. You could buy this, update to the newly-released firmware and get all this goodness for free:
  15. Here’s some of the cool stuff that can be done if you buy this and update to the new firmware that was released last night:
  16. Original v3 Update October 2019 v3.50 update March 2021 v3.50 Editor interface v3.60 patch Manager interface June 2021 The following section headers are all hyperlinks: v3.60 User Guide The information contained herein supersedes and/or incorporates the information from the old User Resource page, which is now locked. Product Page Support Page (firmware, editor, etc.) Online v3.61 Firmware Updater If you do not want to or do not need to back up your old v2 files, then you can simply update your firmware and load the new factory soundset using this handy tool (Google Chrome only). IMPORTANT: If you don’t already have your v2 programs backed up but want to, then, rather than using the online updater, you must instead update to v3 using these instructions. Note: After updating to v3, you will need to reset the tuner’s tune base value to 440 Hz, either manually or by performing a “reset all”. See page 13-14 of the manual for details of this. New Online Program Database I've uploaded all the old Talkbass shared patches to the database in the new v3 format (removing the most obvious duplication). I’ve also shared many of my own patches.
  17. Copied from @Andras Szalay‘s TB announcement: Dear friends, No more “it is almost there!”, rather “it is here, really!!!”. We have put an enormous work behind us. It was mentioned here on the forum that “Andras is a one man engineering team”. While this was the case in the beginning, the Future Impact v3 as released today is a product well beyond what any single individual could have accomplished. Over the last few months an extremely talented international team helped me, and the FI v3 is the result of our joint effort. Let us all recognize and applaud the members of the team: - Peter Kenney (UK): Product design, writing the User Guide , editor testing, sound design. - Gabor Lippenyi (Hungary): Product design, sound design, studio recordings, creating the video demo. - Zsolt Rammer (Hungary): PC and MAC Editor coding, graphics, sound design. - Gabor Gerenyi (Hungary): Product design, sound design, marketing. - Simon Iten (Switzerland): Product design from the very beginning, sound design. - Gergely Barcza (Israel): Design concept for EWI mode, EWI mode sound design, and demo recording. - Geza Barcsik (Hungary): main graphics designer. You can find all product details at http://pandamidi.com. Let me cite here just a few of the most important features: - modular type synthesis with flexi controllers - true multi effects processing - bass, guitar and wind instrument modes - ADSR envelopes - VCO3 and 4 acts as an extra LFO - redesigned look - new lower price - lifetime warranty - and as a last days result, integrated sound program database in the editor! It is important to note, that the electronics of the FI v3 is identical with the FI I., so your current devices can be software-upgraded to be functionally identical with FI v3. Watch the video demo showing all the 99 amazing new sounds, cca. 10 seconds from each. Also you will find on our web page the FI 3.00 software upgrade with the bank of the new sounds and all documentation, naturally ALL FREE OF CHARGE! I signed the bottom plate of the first 20 FI v3. Hurry if you want to get one of them! Finally, I would like to thank everyone on this forum for your help, comments, critiques and suggestions during the development. These all contributed to giving you a better product. Enjoy! Andras Szalay
  18. If you use the online browser updater then it will install the firmware and the new v3 patches for you. The only reason not to use the above method is if you need to save your v2 patches first. If you already have your v2 patches backed up on your computer then you probably don’t need to back them up, though if you’ve made changes to patches on the pedal via the PARAMETER and EDIT dials, then you’ll need to write down those settings as they are not stored as part of the patch. I enclosed a table in the update instructions to aid that.
  19. If you’re updating via browser on a Mac then yes. You can, however, update via the editor instead. All the instructions are on the support page but here is a direct link to the via-editor update method: http://gg.index.hu/pandamidi/FI_v3/FI v3.00 update instructions.pdf
  20. Here’s the new manual for those who are interested: http://gg.index.hu/pandamidi/FI_v3/FI User Guide v3.00 (online).pdf
  21. Thanks! Yes, I’m pretty exhausted and there’s still quite a bit to be done as we launched the online program database too, which is still in beta, and I need to write more detailed instructions for that to maybe integrate into the manual.
  22. I expect @Andras Szalay will make a separate announcement in a dedicated BC post, but for now: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/future-impact-now-available-was-deep-impact-reissue-interested.1115025/page-277#post-23195223
  23. Apologies for the spamming but here’s a taste of what this pedal can do:
