  1. Apologies if I’ve accidentally flagged a post. I hit one somewhere when I opened my phone and can’t see which one it was.
  2. I did, it didn’t mention anything about text rotation though so I thought I’d mention it explicitly.
  3. Also, just another thought: since the buttons are now at the sides, might you want to rotate the text 90 degrees (opposite direction for both so that the bottom of the letters are nearest the pedal’s edges)?
  4. Only things I’d suggest is moving the “prog.” text up so it is in line with the “on/off” text and making sure the fonts of those two labels are the same size (prog appears bigger in the photo).
  5. The postal service is still reliable so anyone interested should just pay the modest price and buy one from GisserD.
  6. Have you seen how Zach Rizer plays? His fingers form a similar shape.
  7. Part of the poor tracking is down to where on the neck this line is played. It’s on Eb at the 11th fret of the E string. I’m using really heavy flats with a medium action. What I’m finding is that those things are causing the string to play a harmonic if muting with only my LH index finger. I’m other words, it’s partly a technique issue. I found that using more LH fingers and my RH thumb to mute the E string when skipping octaves improved things a lot. It’s pretty tricky to keep moving my thumb back and forth at speed. When playing octaves on E and D strings without effects, I generally anchor my thumb on the pickup and it’s fine. It’s going to take some concerted practice to adapt.
  8. I’ve just uploaded a few new FI patches. I’ve tweaked a couple of the first ones I made to use the new filter instead of vintage one. I’ve also managed two more FM-type bass sounds using the foldover distortion when overloading the mixer.
  9. I’m glad in a way as there is less GAS and less money to spend. I am excited about the Source Audio Spectrum/Elevon though.
  10. Nah, they nicked it for Back to the Future.
  11. If you rehouse your Future Impact in one of @GisserD‘s mini enclosures you’ll easily have the space.
  12. Good work. I’d also thought spreading the knobs to the edge of the pedal might be good. Good job on the detente if it works, that’ll be wicked.
  13. What if the “hinge” is on the flip lid and the part into which it clips is recessed into the surface of the pedal enclosure. Probably easier for me to draw than describe but am not near pen and paper.
  14. A headphone output and I may have been sold.
  15. Do bear in mind that synths are capable of a vast array of sounds both musical and unmusical (I’m primarily interested in them for bass sounds) so one demo might not necessarily show of the features or sounds you personally would be interested in.
  16. Sorry. I’ve got really into synths so that’s what I’ve been checking out (along with synth-related bass effects).
  17. Arturia’s new microfreak is interesting:
  18. Here’s a much better demo from the pedal’s creator:
  19. Completely different market. I don't think anyone who really wanted the reissue would have changed their mind when the Behringer came out. The Moog is a thing of beauty. I owned a Behringer D for a bit; it sounded really good, though the oscillators drift a lot compared to the Moog. I ultimately returned it due to a problem with the modulation section where the pitch got sent a semitone sharp when it shouldn't have. If a Moog D come up at a reasonable price then I'll get one. Annoyingly one came up just as I was about to move house so I couldn't spare the cash then. Now that I can, I haven't seen one. (There's one on ebay but it's priced above what it cost new.)
  20. haha, I hadn't seen that - been staring at a screen all day. Yes, you're quite right.
  21. If the wall doesn't work then one of those roll bars could do the job, it could even be molded. It would stop a foot touching it whilst allowing access by fingers.
