  1. The IR is a very well-made bass. I had the good fortune to be able to try one out earlier this year.
  2. Aha. The IR is an improvement (and designed by the same guy).
  3. Peavey or Industrial Radio?
  4. It’s an Industrial Radio one, which is the one I’ve been thinking about getting.
  5. I imagine the line was sequenced and/or the sixteenth notes were ratcheted.
  6. Do you mean the pad at the start or the buzzy/hard-sync lead sound?
  7. Yes, C4 and FI have actual waveform generators. I don’t know about Stomp.
  8. If you set the global mode differently you can have it so that the pedal immediately loads the preset shown. Pressing the encoder jumps in banks of 10. Pressing and holding the encoder then turning it allows you to very quickly scroll to any preset, releasing loads it. With any preset-based pedal, a rudimentary midi switching device makes everything much smoother.
  9. What do you mean by usability in this example? What kind of things are you trying to achieve? What things are you unable to do?
  10. I’m torn now. I think I’m going to get back on programming some more Future Impact patches as I need to do some serious bug testing. Though I might try a few C4 patches too.
  11. Yep, it’s quite similar, though it isn’t gated like the Okto-Nøjs is, which is why I didn’t keep it.
  12. Yes, but it’s menu-based as opposed to having direct control via knobs.
  13. You can get that with C4 too. You can assign almost any two parameters (hopefully soon to be four) to the control knobs so can have whatever variations you like within a preset. Furthermore, you can assign up to three other parameters to external control (expression, hot hand or whatever), and specify a high and low range limit for each. So deep editing isn’t needed. Pretty much all the presets I’ve programmed so far take advantage of this. @GisserD have you tried any of mine yet?
  14. That is very true. Also, the filter sounds wonderful.
  15. Also, now @GisserD has sold his Enzo, I can reinstate my assertion that the C4 kicks its butt due to its being cheaper and more fully-featured.
  16. After listening back to my FI patches I know the C4 can’t touch these sounds with its limited envelope control. I hope Source Audio take heed and put better envelope shaping options in in a future update.

  18. Shameless plug, but also in answer to your call. Here are a bunch clips of patches I’ve written for the Future Impact (I’ve never used the Stomp so can’t compare): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1u2-dJaWdaAbPDnDdWkipu-P7IH_GHLQ2
  19. Could anyone tell me this: when using a phaser preset on the Mercury, does the pedal’s “delay” knob control the frequency of the phaser? I just got a Lunar phaser (after having had a Gemini chorus) as I mostly use phasers and needed the resonance control. I also really want to have a knob for frequency so wondered if that can be achieved by using the Mercury instead. I hope that if SA ever rethink their modulation pedals they follow their newest idea of having user-assignable knobs (as on the C4) and/or a secondary function as on C4 and Spectrum.
  20. Can’t believe this is still here. £84 less than the new price and a decent chunk cheaper than the lowest used price I’ve seen.
  21. They have. @lee650 used to have one. I briefly owned one too. It’s a pretty cool pedal. I recently read that Sam Wilkes of Knower uses one.
  22. I put up a wanted ad for a Source Audio Lunar to which Dave quickly responded. The details were worked out quickly as Dave sent me the pictures I requested the same day and payment was made later that evening. He posted the pedal the very next day and it was delivered the day after that. Our communication was prompt, polite, friendly and informative. The packing was great and the pedal arrived safely and in the condition described. A faultless transaction and I’d be happy to buy from Dave again and can wholeheartedly recommend him to others. Many thanks!
  23. Have you tried my patches yet? I did an OC-2 ish thing, though it may not be honky enough. I used a filtered square wave. Others have used the monophonic pitch shift with a bit of filtering. I also posted an MF101-inspired patch.
  24. Yes, but the monologue won’t adjust the thirds, fifths and sevenths to be scale correct like the C4 does, so there is a difference. Playing root notes of D, G and C in C major on the C4 will yield Dm7, G7 and C maj7 when programmed. It’s pretty neat. But no, not truly polyphonic, which is what I said.
  25. Is that a yes then, @Sibob?
